Responded to your email. I'm awaiting word from the editor at this time. She has not responded.

Will the coffee shop be at the courses for lunch or in town?

Got no email...checked my spam too...

Mikey Beal   October 24, 2020 at 8:36am

Interesting. I'm sure I required an email at signups, so it's supposed to be there. No matter.

Mikey Beal   October 24, 2020 at 8:37am

Yes live scoring is activated. The Passcode will be posted at TourneyHQ this morning, or you can hunt me down and ask. That's fine too.

My fiancé who is playing in FA4, is wondering if they are still playing the rec course twice like it originally said, or if she will now be playing the temp tees on the championship course.

originally planned to have them play Rec twice****

Kyle Klein II   October 23, 2020 at 7:29pm

Now are they playing the concrete red tee layout i found on disc golf course review, or are they playing a shorter version. Sorry for so many questions. She likes to be prepared lol. Thanks!!

Mikey Beal   October 24, 2020 at 7:26am

Oh no, sorry Kyle I must have missed this. FA4 will be playing the concrete White tees on our Rec side, then our grass Temporary Reds on Champ side. I haven’t updated any course information on that site. I probably should start doing that.

anthony devoto    October 23, 2020 at 5:32pm

Is there any plan to let the people on the wait list use the unused slots from the rec devision?

Can you tell me why you will make room for a pro but not an am in the same pool?

Joseph Garland   October 23, 2020 at 10:14pm

My guess would be because there are already 74 in that pool, which is over 4 per tee. Generally speaking, an MPO player would play faster and/or take less shots than those in other divisions. For the sake of speed of play, it’s already to the brim.

anthony devoto   October 23, 2020 at 10:18pm

Please move me to open if this is my only chance to play

Greg Williams    October 23, 2020 at 5:20pm

Unfortunately, I need to withdraw. Had a last minute issue come up and won’t be able to make it. Sorry for the last minute cancellation. Shoot ‘em up, everyone!

Hey GJ! I'm sad to hear this, I'll take care of it! Hope to see you at the next one!

Greg Williams   October 23, 2020 at 6:28pm

Thank you

Are restaurants close enough to go to for lunch or would it be a good idea to bring it?

Mikey Beal   October 23, 2020 at 3:33pm

There are several restaurants in the downtown area and I am partnered with Rail Coffee Room, players will receive a free fountain drink with their lunch!

Anthony W Martinez    October 22, 2020 at 10:12pm

Mikey Beal I sent you a message

Any plans on putting a flag to extend some tee pads right or left? Most of the champ tees were really slick today. It may be safer to tee from the grass if the tees are wet and slick on Saturday. Just a thought.

Mikey Beal   October 23, 2020 at 12:13am

Absolutely. I’ll be running through champ side tomorrow to put on the finishing touches.

Jared Ippolito   October 23, 2020 at 12:15am

Perfect! Greatly appreciated!!

Mikey Beal   October 23, 2020 at 6:32pm

Jared, Tee Pads have been cleaned and brushed and should be to the liking of the MPO field as of this morning

Randy Osborn    October 20, 2020 at 7:28pm

Thanks Mike but I'll skip it. I'm 67 and don't want to pay $50 to compete with guys half my age.

Mikey Beal   October 20, 2020 at 7:58pm

Completely understandable. Hopefully next year I’ll be able to turn out better numbers in your division. Each year this event will get more and more competitive!

[member not found]   October 25, 2020 at 6:07pm

Looks like you had a great event. Looking forward to playing the 666 next week. Thanks for all your hard work!

Mikey Beal   October 26, 2020 at 3:56am

Thanks for the acknowledgment Randy! Unfortunately I won’t be present at 666, although par tod me wants to be. I’m ready to rest and recharge the batteries after yesterday

Jeff Thompson    October 19, 2020 at 1:45am

I saw there were some posts on the Facebook page and here on DGS about MPO playing Champ/Champ and another about Champ/Rec. Can you please let me know which is right? Sorry if this has been clarified already and I missed it.

MPO is playing Champ tees from the Concrete in Round 1, and Rec tees from the Concrete in round 2.

Jeff Thompson   October 19, 2020 at 10:02pm

Mikey, that makes total sense now. We thought it was two different courses. Really appreciate you getting on the right page.

Mikey Beal   October 20, 2020 at 9:19am

Technically, they are two different courses. They just happen to be right across the road from one another. :D By name, we call one "Champ Side" and the other "Rec Side." Both courses have concrete for the white tee pads. Blues on both courses will likely be done in the next year.

Randy Osborn    October 18, 2020 at 4:32pm

I'm thinking of playing MP50 but there's only 1 entry now. What are your plans for that division?

Robert, you can move to MPO if you so choose, I'd still have to payout regardless for pro purses. If you're looking to really make some money on the event, I'd recommend you jump into the MPO field.

Robert Hall   October 21, 2020 at 3:14pm

Mikey, put me in MPO and guess playing against all those younger players would challenge me lol

Mikey Beal   October 22, 2020 at 12:56pm

You got it buddy, the course will challenge the younger players for sure. The champ side is definitely close with Northwood, albeit a little easier.

Lance Fraley    October 2, 2020 at 2:24pm

What teapads will we be playing from? Do all the division play from the same ones?

Mikey Beal   October 2, 2020 at 2:57pm

Yes. Unfortunately I haven’t been given the money from the foundation yet to get the new long pads installed on both courses.

Jason Parish   October 3, 2020 at 1:24am

So short pads on both courses?

Mikey Beal   October 5, 2020 at 11:27am

They're our white tee pads. Medium distance. On Champ, I have had all baskets moved to long placement, save for hole 7, which is up on the hill in "A".

Jesse Fraley    October 1, 2020 at 7:54pm

Is there a minimum of players for a division?

Mikey Beal   October 1, 2020 at 8:05pm

I’m preferring paying to divisions that have 10+ players, but I haven’t set anything in stone just yet.

Bruce Macey    September 30, 2020 at 11:09pm

Do you know if pin placements will be at A pins or B bins for tournament? Also will each course be at the same placement?(both courses on A placement, or both on B placement) or will there be a mixture?

Mikey Beal   October 5, 2020 at 11:30am

Hi Bruce! Sorry it took me a while to see this and catch you up! On champ side, I have all placements in "B" except for Hole 7, which is up on the hill in "A" placement. On Rec side, I have a mixed layout, which will incorporate a couple of mandos/OB rulings for MPO/MA1/MA2 Divis ... more

Is parking lot big enough to accomadate event?

Mikey Beal   September 30, 2020 at 3:41pm

This is a difficult question to answer, honestly. It may be a trek to tourney HQ, but I'm certain I can accommodate. I'm working out the details.

Lance Fraley    September 29, 2020 at 4:09pm

Is there a limit to the number of registrants for the tournament?

Mikey Beal   September 29, 2020 at 4:14pm

Currently there is, strictly for time purposes. We are not limited by our local government. I currently have 72 AM positions, but I will take from the MPO registrations to add more. The cap is at 144 players for now.

Lance Fraley    September 16, 2020 at 5:33pm

Will MA4 and MJ18 groups play on both courses?

Mikey Beal   September 17, 2020 at 12:42pm

Yes. As of right now each group plays both courses, but I’m considering MA4 and Junior classes playing the Rec course twice.
