The first Nawakwa Hootenanny is in the books! Thank you to all who attended, helped out, and brought food. A big thank you to my parents for all they did to set up and make food. Thank you to Camp Nawakwa for allowing us to run events and keeping the course in good shape for us. I am extremely happy to say we raised $347 for the Campership Fund! Another big thank you to Margaret Ann Medley for donating a Hero Bag for the raffle!!! Thank you Matt Hannigan and GoodThree for the awesome event logo! Thank you to Discraft Disc Golf for the awesome tournament stamped discs as well as the swag we were able to raffle off. Thank you Josh Woody for helping set up, maintaining, and measuring the course. Thanks Zachary Cornbower for helping tear down. Thank you Zach Anders for helping me run a smooth first Professional Disc Golf Association tournament. If I missed anybody I'm sorry, but everyone helped make it awesome.
We were lucky the rain calmed down just as we were starting. Made for a nice cool afternoon of disc golf on in extremely swampy conditions. Congratulations to our 4 winners! Bryan Pavlick hit a hole in one on hole 1 to take home an $81 ace pot! Congratulations to all of our raffle winners. We hope to see everyone September 15th at the 2018 Nawakwa Woods Open!
