The course will be closed on Thursday, May 28, 2015 through Sunday, May 31, 2015 for the 2015 Discraft Great Lakes Open.
It will re-open on Monday, June 1, 2015 and remain open through Wednesday, June 3, 2015.
The course will be closed on Thursday, June 4, 2015 and only playable to the USADGC participants and the Doubles (open to all) which starts approximately at noon.
The course will be closed on Friday, June 5, 2015 through Sunday, June 7, 2015 for the 2015 PDGA UNITED STATES AMATEUR DISC GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP!

We anticipate the course to be pulled either Monday or Tuesday following the end of this years' championship.

PLEASE RESPECT THE TOBOGGAN DISC GOLF COURSE AT ALL TIMES!

Also, Note**: for those who plan on playing at the Toboggan for casual rounds and to the 2015 USADGC participants:
Please do not use Exit 155A, Milford Road. Milford Road is under construction and there WILL be delays.
Please use Exit 153 as an alternate path to enter the park.

We are looking for a limited number of spotters Friday - Sunday. This is preferably an all day commitment however, if you cannot do a whole day we may be able to work you in. Because of the removal of the autumn olive on the course the number of spotters is much smaller than in years past. All spotters will be provided with a dri fit shirt, lunch, and some x out discs provided by Discraft. If you are interested in spotting for the event, please post here, indicating the days that you are available to spot. Thanks!

Got a chance to play yesterday. I honestly believe the removal of the Russian Olives have made this course better. It has certainly opened up the course, but long grass and the regrowth of non invasive plant life maintains the challenge of recovery shots. Errant shots are now punished, but playable, though not easy or without adding strokes....usually. The overall asthetics have been improved and the premium for staying aggresive, but within the boundries of the fairway is maintained. I think the mowing decisions are impeccable. This should provide for a superior USADGC experience for players and spectators alike!! Another fantastic job by John, Mark, Leo and the army of volunteers who make this one of the best tournaments in the nation. Also a thanks to the MetroPark system.

As the State Coordinator of Michigan, I have made the decision to award the 1 spot that is made available to me, to the United States Disc Golf Championships in the Performance Flight to the highest finishing Michigan player in this event. Each State Coordinator gets to decide how they award their spot for their state & this is how I have decided to award the Michigan spot. ~Straight Drives!
