Is there any way of finding out what the round ratings would be, by any chance?
John Birkrem January 29, 2021 at 8:27pm
Hey everyone we are on track, we are within $300 of reaching our cash goal. Ace Pot and Mulligans are still for sale tomorrow. (or just plain donations accepted.)

On Saturday the B.S. Bochantin Upshot store will be open all day for the Tyler Ice Bowl. I will be bringing hundreds of new and used discs for sale plus many non-disc items.
If you have any unwanted plastic, I am the swap guy. Bring me what you want to trade in before your round and I will price it out for you while you play and you can then spend the value in my store once the round is over. All PDGA legal discs will individually get $1 to $10 that can then be used to get different stuff.
If you are not playing in the event then please come visit my store after 9am.

Is it possible for my brother and I to be on the same card? I am Mark Ortiz and my brother is Noali Ortiz.
@John Please put me and my brother, Michael McGuinn on the same card as well if possible.

Quick note, reminder for some, new info for others: As we go into the last week before the event, know that there will be an award for the person who brings in (donates) the most food, as measured by weight.

What layout is MA1 playing?
same as every other division. :-) 1-22 mixed pins, how ever the course is set up. I will confirm layout this week, but I dont expect any pins to move, maybe some short tee pads.

the flyer has been updated to match times listed in the ABout.

Hey John, the picture says a 10am tee off, the schedule on the "About" tab says 9:15 tee off. Can you confirm which one is right? Thanks.

John - I think I registered for this event but I’m not listed. Is there a way to check? Thanks.
Dan I have no evidence you registered for this event. Check your email to see if you have evidence of it.
Robert Wakefield January 17, 2021 at 1:46pm
Hey John, two things if you have a min.
My buddy accidentally signed up for "General Entry: Supporter" instead of as a player. (it's his first tournament.) Would it be possible to switch him over to MA3? His name is Steve Rumer
Also, if possible, could Jesse Brubaker, Steve Rumer, Devon McGettigan, and Robert Wakefield be put in the same foursome if possible. Not a big deal if not.
Much thanks and can't wait to play.

John - is this event on the East or West course? Thanks.
assuming weather and ground conditions are good this will be holes 1-22

will there be set start times staggered throughout the afternoon for each group or is everyone checking in at the same time and playing when their group is ready?
this will be a shotgun start event with no player meeting. Player meeting with be emailed out 1 or 2 days in advance.
Nope, round ratings are only issued by the PDGA and this wasn't a sanctioned event. Since the formula depends on the players who played among other proprietary information, you can't calculate it accurately.
as near as I know, Udisc does not calculate round ratings. Anyone who knows contrary can chime in. Default PDGA app round ratings would be based on a 18 hole layout so that does not help.
Gotcha. I figured as much, but I thought I'd at least ask. Thanks!
