Welcome to the 13th annual Frigid Doe Ice bowl!
This will serve as your players meeting. For any questions see Nacho at the pavilion.
This is a PDGA C-tier event, all PDGA rules are in effect. Everyone will be playing one round on Deerfield Longs and one round on Wildwood shorts. On the Deerfield course hole 5 will be played from the super short tee, which is slightly in the woods to the right of the fairway at the bottom of the hill, and hole 9 will be played from the short pad. All normal short pads on Wildwood.
The only out of bounds will be the ponds on 13 and 14 of Deerfield and hole 18 of wildwood, it is going to be too cold to risk people falling through ice. If you do not want to attempt to clear the pond on Deerfield 14 you may proceed to the dropzone (Deerfield 14 short pad) and tee for 3 from there.
SEND SPOTTERS!!! This will save you from lost discs and lost time looking.
Huge thanks to Isabella County Parks, and DiscBaron for helping us make this happen! Another huge thank you to 8cap INC for providing hot lunch for everyone! Lastly thank you, Mount Pleasant DG really appreciates you braving these cold and icy conditions to help us raise money for our charity 8cap INC!
We will be having a huge raffle for lots of prizes, many discs, 2 dynamic backback bags, and a zuca cart plus more! Tickets will be $5 each and available all day at the pavilion.
Six berths to the Discraft Michigan Amateur State Championships will be awarded! Thank you MDGO!
Stop in at the Fussman pavilion once you arrive to grab a hand warmer and check in. All players must check in prior to 8:30. If you are running close to tee time, please contact Nacho 9894006945, preferably by text message.
Starting holes will be available at
https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/55515 please verify your starting hole again in the morning close to tee time as no-shows and adds may have caused changes. Both courses will be in use at the same time, make sure you are on the correct course.
Tee off will be at 9am, I will sound a two-minute warning horn (2 short bursts) and then a tee off horn (one long burst).
We will be utilizing PDGA live scoring for submitting all score. Go to pdga.com/scores and enter the password doe to keep score and double check your starting hole as well. Paper cards will be available at the Fussman pavilion as a back up method of scoring, scores must be submitted through pdga.com/scores.
