Welcome to my inaugural Doubles Tournament! It could become an annual thing, but we'll see how it all goes down. :)
I wanted to do something fun before my Power DGA event on 6/1 (https://www.discgolfscene.com/tournament/Power_Disc_Golf_Academy_Championship_Series_Qualifier_Chains_Edge_2025), and I have to be honest, doubles is my favorite! We will be playing on the Green course, thus leaving both the Red and Blue courses will be open all day for people to practice for the Power DGA Qualifier. Feel free to play wherever your heart guides you.
This event is an XC-Tier (does not affect your rating, with customized divisions), Pro/Am fun BYOP doubles tournament where you will compete not only for some prizes and dollahz, but more importantly, for CHEESECAKE! Players who cash in the AM divisions will have the first crack at several Discraft Power DGA Stamped molds that I will be ordering just for this event and the Sunday Qualifier, as well as other assorted new/slightly used discs from my collection.
If you've never been, Mcbees Bar and Grill is down the street from Chains Edge right off of 220th and Hwy 47. They have great bar food, a full bar, and outdoor seating with a nice view of Ann Lake! In addition, they have what is in my opinion, some of the best cheesecake I've ever had with a myriad of flavor options! I wanted to share this with you all. :)
That said, both players on the winning team from each division will be awarded with a free voucher for a slice of cheesecake at McBees Bar and Grill! Yummy yummy!
Chad will be offering a special rate for camping this weekend for just $5! Come grab a spot early, But know there is a lot of space to set up camp!

Team Ratings
Your division will be based on your "Team Rating". A Team Rating will be determined using the following formula:
2/3rd of the higher rated players rating
1/3rd of the lower rated players rating
For example:
Player 1 rating is 960 (2/3rd of 960 is 643)
Player 2 rating is 890 (1/3rd of 890 is 294)
Together their "Team Rating is 937 (643+294) and would most appropriately play in the 900-969 division titled AM1.
A team can always choose to "play up" to a higher division, but can never play below their team rating.
FINANCES
Entry is:
$50/Team for PRO
$30/Team for AM1
$30/Team for AM2
$1 Per Player will be deducted for admin costs.
PAYOUTS
I will follow the PDGA guidelines when calculating payouts. Payouts will be 100% of the net entry fees to all three divisions. Cash to the pros, prize money for AM's!
PRO: Top 40% of the field
AM: Top 45% of the field

Refund policy
Matt Syx is responsible for all refunds and cancellations. Players will receive a full refund until May 30th. After this date, there will be no refunds granted.
