Emmitsburg World of Doubles
About this tournament
An unsanctioned BYOP doubles one round tournament with plenty of optional events afterwards!
Come play one round of best shots doubles from the short tee pads with a partner of your choosing! After the round, there will be CTP events and a putting challenge for additional prizes. As soon as your team competes, you'll be able to leave if you'd like. You do not have to stay until the end to be eligible to win. Just compete, and we'll keep track of all the scores, and notify the winners of the extra events when everything is done.
Participation in the events after the round are optional, but included!, CTP prizes during the round are included in the entry fee.
Payouts for the 3 divisions will be based on the one round only. For any Mixed or U18 teams, just choose whichever division you feel like is the best fit for you!
There will be multiple CTP's for each division during the tournament round. Looking to have the top 5 teams of each division paid out (assuming each division fills up). If any division fills up and has a waitlist, I'll add additional spots from other divisions if appropriate as we get closer to the tournament date.
For the teams that compete in the tournament, you'll have the already included chance to compete in the after events, with each event having a winner declared for each division. Those winners will take home that divisions payout.
AFTER EVENTS
CTP Contest
Who can put it closest to the pin? Each contestant will be given 5 throws to try to get it as close as possible. Solo contest this time around, so every man/woman for themselves with a winner declared in each division. As stated, throw your 5 shots, then you can head home, play another round, take part in another contest, or hang around for the Heritage Day festivities!
Putting Challenge
Each contestant will get 5 putts from each distance of 15, 30, and 45 feet (can't leave out those jump putters). Solo contest again this time. Each division will have a winner. Each made putt of from the first 4 attempts of each distance will be worth 1 point, and the 5th attempt from each distance will be a "money disc" and count for 2 points if made.
If you are unable to make it to the 9am doubles tournament, feel free to join us any time after 11am (or stick around after you play the morning round) to play a free round of singles play for a chance at additional prizes! You'll also be able to take part in the events for free, but only for some extra prizes, no payouts if you didn't sign up for the tournament.
Scoring for the tournament will be done on uDisc live (only 1 round this time!).
100% of entry fees will be used towards payouts and tournament costs (city fee, etc). 100% of anything marked as donation will be given to Fredrock Disc Golf Club or used for expenses for any donation activities.
