Welcome to the Trilogy Challenge at Willow Park! For those not familiar with this type of event, this will be a non-sanctioned, shotgun start, 2 round, 1 day tournament where players are only allowed to use the 3 discs provided in the players pack. If you lose a disc you are not allowed to replace it, you must use the remaining discs in your set. The discs this year are as follows:
Driver: Stag
Midrange: Truth
Putter: Peak
The player pack will also include a small towel and a mini. We will have 3 divisions, prizes, ace pots and CTPs. See below for additional information.
This will also be a tag round for those DiscSoVerClubs bag tag holders who would like to participate.
Divisions: MA1 (Amateur), MA2 (Amateur), MA3 (Recreational)
Tee Assignments b(Both rounds):
Red Tees: MA3
Blue Tees: MA1, MA2
Tournament Central: Upper Parking lot near hole #2. This is where you will check in before and after your rounds.
Prizes: We will have Trilogy Tournament Champion Disc trophies for division champs along with several other prizes.
Ace Pot: If there are no aces, then the ace pot will be paid out via CTP on a hole determined by the TD at the time of the event.
Playoffs: In the event of a playoff for 1st place, players will play the course in order starting at hole #1 and format is sudden death. First player to win a hole with a lower score wins the playoff.
Scoring: UDisc app – 2 scorekeepers per card.
Please note that some holes may share a tee, players need to make sure they are using the correct tee assigned to the division they are competing in (Red and Blue share a tee on hole # 1,4,8,13).
Course Out of Bounds:
Hole 1: Cement walking path ( and beyond) behind basket is OB.
Hole 4: Basketball court is OB.
Hole 5: Cement walking path on the right side of the fairway( and beyond) is OB.
Hole 7: Mandatory tree is marked on the right. You must pass to the left of the "Mando" tree otherwise go to the Red tees with a 1 stroke penalty. Any cement just past the basket is safe. Asphalt walk (and beyond) on the right side of the fairway is O.B.
Hole 8: Road on the right side of the fairway ( and beyond) is OB. The large rocks on the edge of the road are NOT OB. Out of Bounds line on the left side of the fairway and long of the basket is marked by white pin flags.
Hole 10: OB runs along the right side of the fairway. Area is marked with red stakes.
Hole 12: Fence past the basket is OB.
Hole 15 & 16: Casual relief from debris piles.
Hole 18: Casual relief from standing water in culvert.
This is a public park and a shared space for all park users. ALWAYS yield to other park users, make sure the hole is clear to throw safely and talk to other park users in a friendly manner if necessary.
