About this tournament

Welcome to the 2023 Waveny Warmup!
This is the first time an event is being played here since 2010. So much hard work has gone into this course restoration and we’re looking forward to seeing it once it’s at 100%. This is my first event as a TD so please let me know what I can do to improve as I’m aiming to offer a number of traditional two round events as well as limited disc events throughout the 2023 season and beyond.
PLAYER’S PACK:
All amateur players will receive an Innova Custom Stamped disc (Toro, Jay, AviarX3, Gator) in star plastic. Player’s will also receive a long sleeve quarter-zip shirt with the tournament stamp on the back. Please register before April 1st so we can guarantee your size! After April 1st we will do our best to accommodate you but we can't guarantee your size.
SANCTIONING FEES:
$2 from each player's entry will be used toward PDGA event sanctioning
HOLE SPONSORS:
Thank you for sponsoring the event! The funds used from your sponsorship will be used toward course restoration and development. By sponsoring you'll receive early registration as well as the ability to advertise a business of your choosing, please relay the details/logo/desired hole so we can ensure proper signage is displayed.
FORMAT/LAYOUT:
This event will consist of two rounds with players being grouped by division. All Pros, MA1, and MA40 will be playing the Blue layout (holes 10,11 will be played on the white layout for all divisions) both rounds. All other divisions will be playing the White layout for both rounds.
CTPS:
This year's closest to pin's are being donated by Disc Golf Brah. CTPs will be divided out amongst the divisions as evenly as possible with at least one for all players.
PARKING:
Please fill the poolside lot, this is the lot that is to the left as you pull into Waveny Park, before parking near the tennis court area.
TOURNAMENT CENTRAL:
Tournament Central for this event will be to the right side near the putting area and hole 1.
CHECK IN:
Players must check in prior to Round 1 start. Withdraws and Refunds will be in accordance with the PDGA Competition Manual section 1.03
ACE POT:
In the event an ace is not hit all players who paid in will throw CTP shot from Hole 1 White after rounds have completed. The CTP takes the pot.
PLAYER’S MEETING:
There will be a brief meeting regarding the OB rules and to answer any other questions players might have prior to the start of round 1. Similarly at the start of round 2 players will have a brief period to ask any questions prior to heading out.
AWARDS/PRIZES:
Division winners will be awarded a trophy after the event. There will be a brief award ceremony following the conclusion of the event.
