Players,
Warwick Upshot is a PDGA C-Tier event at Brakewell Steel DGC in Warwick Park Saturday 2/18. Both rounds are 18 holes.
All players must sign in before 8:30am. Sign in is at the pavilion by hole 17 which is a bit of a walk from where you can park so plan accordingly. If you are not signed in before 8:30am your spot may be filled by someone else. Starting holes have been posted at
https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/65819
Amateur players pack is a $15 to $17 disc of choice OR DD Beanie that players will select from two tables set out during sign in.
Hand sanitizer is available for your use before you touch any merchandise in the store.
In the morning check again your starting hole to confirm nothing has changed. Changes should be very unlikely and only if absolutely needed.
Some cards may have 3 people; if it is time to start and you only have 1 or 2 people you cannot start; wait where you are for the next group and play with them keeping scores separate. The person who does not show up gets par plus four for every hole they miss.
Each card must have two people keeping score. One person must keep score via the PDGA website and another person any other way you want. Udisc is a common way for the second person to keep score.
We have set up layouts on the PDGA site. PDGA.comscores code upshot
For OB rulings, group decision is needed. If you can’t decide, give the benefit to the player; when in doubt play a provisional. Player must declare loudly they are playing a provisional.
Keep an eye on where you land. You only get 3 minutes to search for your disc before it is officially lost.
No two-meter rule; no special island rules. Everything is standard PDGA rules.
Bring plenty of water; and this may be a good time for this year to wear sunscreen & bug spray.
Projected payouts can be found at
https://www.pdga.com/apps/tournament/manager/payouts_projected?TournID=65819
The exact numbers will change but this will give you an idea of what to expect; if people drop from your division, then the payout will be less.
The B.S. Bochantin Upshot store will be open during the event all day. We accept venmo, paypal & cash
For those swapping their unwanted plastic, give us your discs before round 1. We will value them as you play, and you will receive a scrip card for the value to use when you finish the round. We are not accepting any swaps after you finish round 1. Due to a massive influx of used Innova discs please expect $1 for any DX.
For any first-place tie breaker playoffs, start hole 17 longest tees to longest basket and continue all holes.
For Ace Pot we collected $190, if someone hits an ace then they get the $190. I hope no one hits an ace as we will be holing a CTP after round 2 for a $90 macro basket; we have also purchased lots of snack for you to grab from the snack table that will be set up by tee of 16. The snack table will also have for sale Beef Jerky $8, Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans $4 & Energy Drink $3 if you want to upgrade; water is free.
Tip your TD as Venmo @BSUpshot or paypal [email redacted] if you so desire.
