About this tournament
1 round of play
This event is 2 rounds played at Como Lake Park.
Round 1: Doubles, best shot. highest seed on the team will be paired with lowest and the middle two seeds will be paired up.
Round 2: Team, College DG Rules. Team rounds are played with two sets of teammates, one ODD pair, one EVEN pair. The ODD set will tee off on every odd-numbered hole, while the EVEN set tees off on every even-numbered hole. After the tee shots, the team chooses which of the two lies to play. From there, the set that did not tee throws their two shots. Again, the whole team decides which lie to play from and the set that teed off would throw. That alternating process continues until the hole is complete. On the next hole, the corresponding set of teammates according to the hole number, ODD or EVEN, would tee off no matter which set putt out on the previous hole. This format allows for each player to tee off the same amount of times and for teams to play as a whole. Each hole has two teams playing together as an eight-some.
- Teams consist of 4 players
- Gold Division has a team rating cap of 3750 (938 average per player)
- Silver Division has a team rating cap of 3550 (888 average per player)
- Bronze Division has a team rating cap of 3300 and a personal rating cap of 860 (825 average per player)
- Any player without a rating will be given an assumed rating of 900, unless 5 recent rounds are provided to base a rating upon or to TD's discretion.
- Ratings will be based upon the ratings update when registration opens.
- Ladies will be given a tee advantage on holes longer than 300 feet.
- At the TD's discretion, a Bronze team may be forced up to Silver based upon round 1 performance. The intent of the Bronze division is to allow more recreational players to compete in the event without the "experienced tournament players" dominating the division. Some players may be unrated, but have a higher skill level than the intended assumed rating.
- All teams must compete in a “team jersey”. Team shirts should be the same color, and preferably the same style & design. Teams are responsible for providing their own team jerseys.
- Cash Payouts and Custom Trophies.
