To purchase a tag, find the membership registration here:

Notes: Only members who purchased their tags (and are entered into Disc Golf Scene, the official record) at least 2 weeks prior to the championship they compete in will be eligible. That date is August 1, 2026.
WNCDGA members are invited to the 2026 Annual Club Championship!
This event is a 9-hole, double-elimination match play bracket. The field is capped at the Top 64 tag holders in attendance on Saturday.
Not only are you competing for club bragging rights, but there’s also cold, hard cash on the line for the Top 8 finishers!
Registration Tip: You can update your registration a few days before the event to ensure your final tag number is accurate for seeding.
HOW IT WORKS
This isn't your average C-Tier or random-draw doubles. This is a head-to-head, double-elimination, seeded match play event.
1. Check-In & Seeding: Check in during the posted morning window and report your current WNCDGA Open tag number. Once check-in closes, players will be strictly seeded from highest tag to lowest. (Note: Late arrivals cannot be added after seeding closes!)
2. The Bracket: Players will be placed into a double-elimination bracket based on their seed. Higher seeds may receive a first-round bye. Matches will go out in cards of 2 or 4 players (1 or 2 simultaneous matches).
3. 9-Hole Match Play:
• The higher seed tees off first on Hole 1.
• Holes are won, lost, or tied—total overall strokes do not matter.
• Matches end as soon as a player is up by more holes than remain (e.g., being up by 5 with 4 holes left).
• If a match is tied after 9 holes, sudden-death play continues one hole at a time until a winner is decided.
• Concessions are allowed per standard PDGA match play guidelines.
4. Advancing & Reporting: After each match, exchange tags (if applicable) and report your result to Tournament Central immediately.
Winners vs. Losers Bracket
• Winners Bracket: Keeps a steadier pace. If you keep winning, expect to play around 3–4 matches on Saturday depending on field size.
• Losers Bracket (1st Loss): Play picks up fast here. Matches stack quickly with very little downtime—pack lunch, extra water, and plenty of snacks. Players could play 6 or more matches on Saturday.
• Elimination (2nd Loss): Your tournament run is over, but you’re encouraged to stick around and cheer on fellow club members!
Moving to Day 2
Day 1 wraps up once we reach the Final 8 players (4 undefeated + 4 from the losers bracket), weather and time permitting. Play will resume Sunday until a champion is crowned!
Course Layouts
• Richmond Hill: Default layout is all yellow baskets.
• Lake Julian: Default layout is Holes 1–18 white concrete pads to yellow baskets.
• Flexibility Rule: If both competitors agree before a match or hole to play a different tee/basket combination, it is allowed. If you cannot reach a mutual agreement, you must play the default layout.
