The course is now set up. Thanks for the great work crew. Jack Selleh, Jordan Hicks, Shawn Passmore, Jamie Tellez, David Swangler, Chubby and Jon Noles. There will be a string line on the tee boxes running from red ball marker to red ball marker. Also, on hole 17, the gunite is good. Surrounded by water is O.B. Enjoy the practice round.

THE BEST NEWS...I have talked with Management today and WE WILL have carts for the practice round. The round will still be free, however, there will be a $10 (per person) charge for a cart. I'm quite sure there won't be a problem paying that minimal amount because I don't think anyone wants to walk that course. The hours set aside for our practice round is from 2pm - 7pm.
The carts MUST be returned by 7pm. If you have any holes left to play and it's 7pm, STOP PLAYING and return the cart. That person issuing the cart goes home at 7 pm. Please respect this. After 5 pm, I've been told that no one will be able to start play. The last card goes out at 5 pm. Also, because we are limited to these hours and carts, ONLY REGISTERED PLAYERS will be allowed on the course to play. Please do not bring a caddy or friend. We want to make sure the players are able to practice in that time. Please respect this too and don't be that person that ruins it for others.

On tournament day, we will be able to have spectators watch the event. There will be no extra carts available so they will have to walk. If you plan on bringing a spectator, please email me ([email redacted]) to let me know so I can let the course know for any extra food, etc.

A gracious thank you to everyone that has registered for this tournament. It's the players that make the event great and we are off to an AWESOME start. These people are already impressed with the numbers. As a disc golf community, we have come together to show everyone who we are and the game we love.

The trophies are finished and they look outstanding.

I know I don't have to do this, but I think every player has the right to know how and where their money is going and being spent. Viewpoint is charging $50. per player for the greens fee (which includes the cart). They are also providing extra carts at no charge (first come; first serve) for any caddy. The lunch is $20. per player. So, of the $110. registration fee, $70. is going to the course. They are shutting down all operations that day for us, so we totally have the course to ourselves.
The disc (Pixel putter from MVP) retails at $15. The 18 baskets (rental fee) is $350. The trophies (so far 22) are $241. Sanction round (PDGA) is $50. Insurance for the round (PDGA) is $50. The PDGA fees are $2. per player. After all these fees, it comes to an additional $37. per player.
That makes it roughly $107. per player. This does not include the CTP prizes. Every player will receive in their player pack, 10 raffle tickets. The Pros will receive the hot-stamped disc and the raffle tickets too.

PLEASE PASS THIS ALONG TO OTHERS: There is no other golf course, in this area, that has even considered doing what Viewpoint has given us the opportunity to accomplish. Some courses let us have a one day tournament and then dropped us like a disease. I have talked with many and their answer is NO. They're not interested. Here is a course, where they are willing to roll the red carpet out for us. It's a win, win situation for both sides, but trust me, we will benefit much more. They will make their money and we will have a permanent course from May through September using carts and having shade. It is to our benefit, as a disc golf community to take full advantage of this awesome opportunity. I really hope we all can come together to make this happen. Please encourage others to sign up. This is a shout-out to all of those signed up and those thinking about it. John has put a lot of work into this event and he is trying to show the owner how popular the game is so he will consider putting in a permanent 18 hole disc golf course!! Sure, it is a little expensive, but look at what is included! John has included a great lunch, a nice air-conditioned room for us to eat in, lots of raffles, CTPs and a custom hot stamped Pixel for your throwing pleasure. It will be hot, but John has arranged for us to have carts, we will have a cart girl and you can carry your own mini cooler with ice and drinks. How nice will it be to ride in carts?? When is the last time you had the opportunity to play on a ball golf course? Speaking from experience, it is a BLAST! Spread the word folks, let's try to get registration maxed out. BAD NEWS - Unfortunately, there will not be golf carts available so you will have to walk the course. I can tell you this...it is a very, very long walk.

ONLY PLAYERS WILL BE PERMITTED TO PLAY THE PRACTICE ROUND. NO GUESTS, NO CADDY. Please have a form of I.D. to show at the pro shop. They will have a list of all the players.
