John Scheinpflug Aug 3, 2024 TY. Glad you had fun
John Scheinpflug We had 65 players today for the practice round. AWESOME!
Aug 3, 2024
Chad Villegas Aug 3, 2024 That’s so sic. I know I had a great day and the staff was so supportive and friendly. It’s going to be a super exciting 2 rounds tomorrow.

The course is now set up. Thanks for the great work crew. Jack Selleh, Jordan Hicks, Shawn Passmore, Jamie Tellez, David Swangler, Chubby and Jon Noles. There will be a string line on the tee boxes ... show more ›

Mike Hughes Aug 2, 2024 A huge THANK YOU to John and all of the volunteers who helped out today! After the event, I'm buying drinks for all of you!! (Chubby gets his favorite non-alcoholic beverage) :-)
Chad Villegas I didn’t bring my basket like normal. Where will there be practice baskets available ? Aug 1, 2024
Tommy Gunz III Aug 1, 2024 Per TD email: Two baskets (for putting) will be set up on the putting green
Armando Cruz I didn't see anything about a dress code, that I recall? Aug 1, 2024
show 1 earlier comment
Armando Cruz Aug 1, 2024 I was assuming so, the only collard shirts I own are work shirts. So I'll most likely wear one of those.
John Scheinpflug Aug 1, 2024
Thanks Tommy. Yes, remember we are trying to make a good impression and by the numbers in the tourn ... show more ›
Harvey Brandt Aug 2, 2024 PDGA.com should have information on appropriate dress. At PDGA Master's Worlds it was no cotton tee shirts but performance fabrics (dry-fit, etc) were fine. Collars were not required.
John Scheinpflug Good Morning to All, I have a final meeting with the golf course today. Afterwards, I will post hole assignments on PDGA. I will send an email late afternoon. Get excited! Aug 1, 2024
Chad Villegas Aug 1, 2024 Great news & yes I’m excited
Greg Chance FYI, I added the course and layout shown in the caddie book to Udisc in case people want to use it. Since this is a private course and event, the course is not shown on the map, but you can find it by searching "Viewpoint Golf Course". Jul 31, 2024
Armando Cruz Jul 31, 2024 That’s awesome. Thank you!
John Scheinpflug Jul 31, 2024 Thanks Greg
Matthew Loos Hello - Any chance the practice round on Friday will be available to non-tournament players? Would love to check the course out but unfortunately couldn't do the tournament Jul 31, 2024

Jeremy Frost Has anyone tried putting a Zuca cart on the back of a golf cart? Is that a legitimate option, or are backpacks better? Jul 30, 2024
show 1 earlier comment
Tom Osterdahl Jul 30, 2024 Use a backpack it works the best.
Harvey Brandt Jul 30, 2024 I put my Zuca on a cart during the Las Vegas Open. Wasn't great. Took up a lot of space and tended to lean backwards where discs could drop out. Like Tom says, backpack.
John Scheinpflug Jul 30, 2024 Since there will be two players on a cart for most carts, I would highly recommend using a backpack so there is room for both players.
John Scheinpflug We have reached our limit on the carts for the caddy for tournament day. This was first come-first serve. Those who have requested one are good. There are no more available. Jul 28, 2024
Chad Villegas Jul 30, 2024 Im on that list correct
John Scheinpflug Jul 30, 2024 Correct.
Chad Villegas Jul 30, 2024 Thank can’t wait to play.
Gor Sargsyan I'm currently waitlisted for MA3 and I see the registration closes soon. If no spots open up before the event, can I placed be into one of the open spots in MA1? (Definitely would prefer MA3 though) Jul 27, 2024
John Scheinpflug Jul 28, 2024 You're in
John Scheinpflug CORRECTION: We are setting up the course for the practice round on Friday, August 2nd at
7 am. (I think I might have said August 1st.). The practice round is on Friday, August 2nd from
2 pm to 7 pm.
Jul 27, 2024
John Scheinpflug Jul 27, 2024
John Scheinpflug Everyone that was on the waitlist has been promoted into the tournament - Cheers! Jul 27, 2024
Kevin Drossel Caddie Book hole 18 - driving range would most certainly be OB but is not actually noted "OB" in red, as was carefully done throughout? Could lead to disputes? Jul 27, 2024
John Scheinpflug Jul 27, 2024 I don't know if there is any line over there. I would have to make a string line or use cones.
Jeff Beickel The caddie book refers to the “manicured” part of the green. Is that referring to the fringe? Jul 26, 2024
show 1 earlier comment
Jeff Beickel Jul 26, 2024 Thank you Jamie. Looking forward to it!
Tommy Gunz III Jul 26, 2024 Will the greens be strung or painted to show a definitive line? I can already forsee arguments on the card hahaha
John Scheinpflug Jul 26, 2024 The greens are defined enough to know that the disc is either in or out. If it's that close, it's a card decision.
Donald Hawk Hi, is it possible to add another ma3 spot? Jul 25, 2024
John Scheinpflug Jul 26, 2024 The spot has been added. Go ahead and sign up.
Jonathan Bo-o Any chance to open up more mpo spots? Jul 25, 2024

John Scheinpflug Jul 26, 2024 A lot more players are going to playing a practice round now.

Max Nichols Any chance you will open up to more mpo players? I just got on the waitlist and would love to play Jul 23, 2024
Harvey Brandt Jul 23, 2024 My experience is that you will likely get in. Plenty of the "old fogey" divisions will not fill up because they usually take a nap in the afternoons.
John Scheinpflug Jul 24, 2024 Your in Max. Thanks for registering.

Jason Roach Jul 21, 2024 This is going to be a great event! Thanks for putting it together and being transparent, John.
Tommy Gunz III Jul 21, 2024 Thanks for this! Personally as a pro I'd be happier with a bigger payout instead of a disc and raffle tickets, I'm grateful either way! Thanks again

John Scheinpflug Remember, even though a division is full, sign up for the waitlist. Other divisions will not fill and I will adjust to accommodate the waitlist Jul 10, 2024
Chad Villegas Will my caddie be able to follow day of tournament in a cart or ride with me? How is this shared cart thing going to play out. Jul 5, 2024
John Scheinpflug Jul 5, 2024 Yes, Your caddy (on tournament day) will either ride with you or have a cart.. Just pay separate for his/her lunch.
John Scheinpflug A revised Caddy Book will be out shortly showing most cart paths safe instead of a hazard.
Jul 5, 2024
Tommy Gunz III Jul 6, 2024 Don't make it too easy now! haha
John Scheinpflug Jul 8, 2024 Still a challenge TG.
Mike Hughes Jul 19, 2024 I am grateful for that decision. It makes no sense to me to penalize someone for throwing on a 4' wide piece of concrete that is in the fairway. Thanks John.

Josh Barnum Jul 4, 2024 This is great!
Harvey Brandt Jul 4, 2024 Wait, even the old folks will have to walk the practice round? Should have read this prior to registering!!!
John Scheinpflug Jul 5, 2024 You're in better shape than most young guys and you won World's. You don't need a practice round anyway.
John Scheinpflug I was just informed about this new course in Phoenix called Sunny Slope. If we fill this tournament with the 90 players, Shawn Passmore, Jamie Tellez and myself will be glad to donate all of remaining funds (after all the fees) to the baskets for this new course. Jun 28, 2024

Armando Cruz Jun 28, 2024 Hell yeah!
Harvey Brandt Jul 1, 2024 Is this new course playable yet, or waiting on baskets? Where is this located?
John Scheinpflug Jul 2, 2024 Not playable yet. In Phoenix. Don't know cross streets.
Josh Barnum Hi! Will the Caddie book layout be used for ALL divisions? This event looks awesome! Jun 8, 2024
John Scheinpflug Jun 9, 2024 Josh, we might make one tee pad longer for the Pros. Other than that one hole, yes, everyone will tee from the same.
John Scheinpflug Jamie created the Caddy book. Shawn, Jamie and I were on the course for 5 hours creating the layout. Jun 7, 2024
Chubby Killough Jun 7, 2024 The layout looks awesome. Thanks for putting this together.
John Scheinpflug We are working on getting a practice round scheduled. Remember, this is a pop-up course, so it might not be feasible. Jun 7, 2024
Armando Cruz Jun 8, 2024 What portable baskets will be used for this tournament?
Jon Noles Agree with Roger. The caddy book is great! Will there be any opportunity for a practice round on this layout? Jun 6, 2024

John Scheinpflug Jun 9, 2024 Jamie gets the credit for the caddy book. It took some time to create and it is AWESOME!
Tom Osterdahl John it won't let me get past the caddie lunch. There's no option for no caddie. Jun 5, 2024
John Scheinpflug Jun 5, 2024 Try it now Tom
Jamie Tellez Jun 5, 2024 That should be fixed now.
Shawn Boyd Are the green fees charged by the course so high to jack the price up to 150, or is some of the entry money going towards actual course establishment? Knowing this might help some decide if they want to fork over that amount of cash. Jun 2, 2024
