About this tournament
2 rounds of play
This VIDGA event will have 18 holes of singles followed by an optional 10 holes of team doubles following the College Disc Golf team scoring format.
First round is 18 holes of singles stroke play, with layouts based on these PDGA Junior divisions:
MJ18: All 18 holes White tees and baskets
All other MJ and FJ divisions: All 18 holes Red tees and baskets
Players who want to compete in the optional 10-hole teams round should register for the MJ18 division, as all team players must compete in the same MJ18 division in the singles round.
Players who only want to compete in the singles round, and do NOT want to compete in the teams round, should register for the appropriate age/gender-based division.
Scoring for the PDGA-sanctioned singles round will be done on the PDGA Live app.
Second round is 10 holes of 4-player teams: Teams are composed of two pairs of doubles partners. Those pairs are designated either ODD or EVEN, indicating which holes they'll be taking the tee shots. The pairs then alternate shots to finish each hole.
Teams will play 9 holes from the Red tees, plus Hole 9 from the White tees.
Scoring for the teams round will be done on the UDisc app.
Each school club can enter multiple 4-player teams. All players and teams compete in the same MJ18 division for the singles and teams rounds, regardless of age or gender.
VIDGA membership is REQUIRED to participate in VIDGA-sanctioned team events. However, a formal, school-sponsored disc golf club or team is NOT required to register as a VIDGA member team. Any group of 4 or more students from the same school can register as a club team to represent their school in VIDGA-sanctioned events.
To register as a VIDGA member and become eligible to compete in VIDGA-sanctioned events, go to https://www.vidga.org/ . Registration is FREE, and provides your club with members-only access to the map and contact information of other VIDGA member clubs, as well as the official VIDGA calendar of events.
The $10 player registration fees for this event include a required $2 PDGA player fee, with the remainder of the fee covering the $50 PDGA event sanctioning fee, and proceeds going to VIDGA to cover the costs of hosting the event and maintaining the course ("greens fee").
Players are not required to be PDGA members, but PDGA membership is strongly encouraged. Only players with current PDGA memberships will receive PDGA ratings for their singles round scores. Join or renew your PDGA membership here: https://www.pdga.com/membership
