About this tournament
The USDGC Double Qualifier is returning to Abbey Gardens again in 2023. Last summer we had a spectacular play-off finish. Find yourself a partner and try win an invite to the championship, the USDGC Doubles is an amateur only doubles event that kicks off Championship week for the United States Disc Golf Championship in Rock Hill, SC.
It doesn't get much better than summer in cottage country, so why not make a weekend of it, come up Friday for a practice round, play disc golf Saturday, hang out by a lake if you are so lucky the rest of the time.
This year is the 25th Anniversary of the USDGC and it will be an action packed event in Rock Hill this fall. Players from the qualifiers across North America will play on a modified version of the famed Winthrop Arena Course as well as a modified version of the Camp Canaan Riverbend Gold course.
Amateur teams at Abbey Gardens are competing for the chance to qualify and glory but will receive a player's pack with special edition USDGC Doubles discs from Innova. We will have some on-course prizes from our sponsors:
Innova Discs
TinLid Disc Golf
Abbey Gardens
Diameter Apparel
Teams will play two rounds of best disc doubles. In the morning we will play the Short - Orange Layout. Afternoon round will be on the Long White Layout.
We have removed the Pro option for this event...not much interest.
The event is being capped at 60 players, 30 teams for now. Should make for a smooth fun day at Abbey Gardens, nobody has to hike up to Aceplace Corner.
Check out the USDGC Doubles website for more info about your trip to the Championship.
