About this tournament
Welcome to The Spring Sting
I'm looking forward to running what I'm hoping to be a staple tournament for a fantastic course in our state. I hope to see you all there!
PLAYER’S PACK:
All amateur players will receive a Custom Nichols Stamped disc
A minimum of $10 will be put toward payouts for each amateur player. CTP Events will be on-site for vending.
FEES:
$3 from each player will be used toward the PDGA player fee
HOLE SPONSORS:
Thank you for sponsoring the event! 100% of the funds from your sponsorship will be used toward course restoration and development. By sponsoring you'll receive signage to advertise a business of your choosing, please relay the details/logo/desired hole so we can ensure proper signage is displayed.
FORMAT/LAYOUT:
This event will consist of two rounds with players being grouped by division. All Divisions will be playing the same layout.
PARKING:
Plenty of parking is available on site.
BATHROOMS:
A porta-potty will be available prior to leaving the parking lot.
TOURNAMENT CENTRAL:
Tournament Central for this event will be at the pavilion near the start of hole 1 and exit of hole 18.
CHECK IN:
Check in will begin at 7:45am. Players must check in prior to Round 1 start. Withdraws and Refunds will be in accordance with the PDGA Competition Manual section 1.03
ACE POT:
In the event an ace is not hit all players who paid in will throw CTP shot from Hole 1 after rounds have completed. The CTP takes the pot.
PLAYER’S MEETING:
There will be mandatory player's meeting regarding the OB rules and to answer any other questions players might have prior to the start of round 1. Similarly at the start of round 2 players will have a brief period to ask any questions prior to heading out.
SCORING:
Please be mindful that scoring rules have changed this season. Rule 808a indicates that "Each
player must keep an independent scorecard recording scores after each hole for the entire
group. A player who refuses to keep score may be subject to disqualification." While electronic
scoring through the PDGA live system is preferred, paper scorecards will be available at
tournament central for use during the round. After your round, in accordance with rules 808f,
please visit tournament central to reconcile your group's scorecards.
Awards:
Please stick around after the event for awards. Cash will be paid out to all pro players while amateur payouts will be provided by CTP Events. Credits earned by amateurs can be spent at the CTP Events store on-site and/or throughout their CT Flex Series.
