Welcome to the next major New England tournament!
The International is one of the most beautiful golf courses (and longest!) in the world!
The International has been gracious enough to let us use their gorgeous property to host the inaugural disc golf event, The International Open, Powered by Prodigy & HawksNestDiscGolf.com. For our first year The International Open will be a B-tier, with aspirations of becoming an A tier then joining one of the major tours!
We will ask all players to consider visiting the Fireplace Room Restaurant before, during, and after the weekend and also for the player party Saturday night. We have a lunch option available from the restaurant for the event and The International is hoping we'll spend time at the restaurant as a return for letting us use their beautiful property for free.
For our first year, we are planning for 72 players but with enough interest (and some schedule adjustments) we'd consider opening to 144. We want this event to be the best of the year, so we will continue to make that our focus. That means you can't wait, make sure you register quickly to guarantee your spot! We are working with the course supervisors to schedule for 144, but it may not happen this year.
Saturday night will be the player party! The Fireplace Room Restaurant has a deck that overlooks hole 1 and 18 of the disc golf course, and hole 1 of the ball golf course. They are a full-service restaurant with amazing food, drinks and a beautiful space. Stick around after the event and have a beer or dinner with the family.
A HUGE thank you to Prodigy Disc for sponsoring this event and providing an amateur player pack that includes a performance polo, hat, custom disc, stainless insulated water bottle and more!
Thanks to Hint Water (Drink Water, Not Sugar) for providing beverages to all the players and lots of prizes as well!
As this is a temporary course, our baskets will be provided by Fly By Disc Golf, check out their events at FlyByDiscGolf.com! This is the same disc golf company that provided baskets for the 2017 New England Disc Golf Championships on The Commander at Devens.
