Welcome to Medicine Hat. We’re a city that feels like a small town. We’re pretty excited about disc golf as well. So much so, that we want to just play and play and play. We know we’re not alone in this, so we’re happy to present The Great Big Throw.
The Great Big Throw is all about disc golf love. 100 holes of pure joy - 3 days of throwing. It's a salute to our love of the sport. We are showcasing our city and our passion for all that disc golf means to us! You will play every course we have to offer - even a glow round at Riverview Golf Course and a pop-up course for this event only!
Have a look at the schedule, see how your arm feels, and maybe recruit a couple friends to make a team for the weekend!
Want to make this event a little more intense? Choose the PDGA Sanctioned C-Tier as part of your entry - the Saturday morning and afternoon rounds will count towards your rating! If you are just interested in competing in the C-tier, there is a separate tournament signup for that.
The Great Big Throw will also showcase the amazing shops and stops that Medicine Hat has to offer, so your player pack will have lots of coupons and offers for discounted meals and disc, and everything in between, as well as a “Great Big Throw” disc.
