Be among the first players in North America to record a PDGA-rated round, and maybe a win too, in 2026!
Thursday, January 1, 2026 — Ninigret Park, Charlestown, RI
PDGA C-Tier • One Round • 10:00 AM Shotgun Start
“You only get one shot — do not miss your chance to throw,
This opportunity comes once in a year, yo.”
(– Eminem, probably talking about disc golf.)
Kick off 2026 at the First Fling, one of the first PDGA-sanctioned events of the entire year in North America.
This frosty, fun, single-round New Year’s Day C-Tier brings the community together and launches SNEDGO’s 2026 season.
This is your one round, one shot, one chance to start the year strong. Make it count.
A portion of proceeds supports SNEDGO and helps fuel more tournaments, pop-up events, course projects, and community initiatives throughout the 2026 season.
DISCOUNT CODE AVAILABLE FOR SNEDGO MEMBERS RENEWING THEIR PDGA MEMBERSHIP FOR 2026 - Please send a message to Jeff requesting the code
Quick Note About PDGA Membership & Registration
This event is open to non-PDGA members. If you haven’t renewed your 2026 PDGA membership yet, DiscGolfScene may try to charge you the $15 non-PDGA fee when you sign up. Don’t worry — you’ve got a few easy options:
• Renew your PDGA membership first, then register normally with no extra fee.
• Register now and renew later (as long as it’s before the event). Once you renew, you’ll get the $15 refunded. Just let us know.
• Or just reach out to Jeff directly — he can manually add you to the event, and you can pay your entry fee and renew at your convenience (again, before the event)
Player Cap & Deadlines
• This event opens with a 36-player field limit to keep the winter round smooth and to ensure accurate player pack ordering.
• Players in divisions with fewer than 3 players will be merged into a different division unless their original division is underserved as defined in CM 1.02.C.2.c or they are ineligible for any other division.
• Registration Closes: December 28 at 11:59 PM.
Layout
• All players play the same layout; the layout will be a mix of different tees designed to avoid anything overly punishing, keep things fair in winter conditions, and mix in a handful of gettable birdies so everyone can have some fun scoring opportunities.
• Layout is subject to change before the event (any changes will be announced and updated here)
