About this tournament
3 rounds of play
Inspired by the disc golf ‘Presidents Cup’, The Crickle Cup combines teamwork with three dynamic formats: stroke play, match play, and doubles. Bond with your teammates and enjoy a day filled with camaraderie, excitement, and unforgettable disc golf action.
$10 cash entry (additional $10 for Crickle Creek non-members). Players will be sorted into teams based on player strength. Team rosters will be sorted and posted August 8th. Team colours will be: White, Red, Blue, Green.
Each person will get to play with 8 different card-mates throughout the day, and there will be time between rounds to mingle with all players. All collected entry fees will be split by winning team members.
This is a points based three-round team competition played on a challenging 10-hole layout.
Rounds:
10 Holes Foursome Individual Stroke Play
Example: Players A1, B1, A2, B2. Scoring: 1st 4 points, 2nd 2 points, 3rd 1 point, 4th 0. If tied, points are totalled then divided between tied players. (If -5, -3, -3, -1, the tied players would each get 1.5 points.) Max. 15 Points to a single team.
10 Holes 1v1 Match Play
Example: Players A3 v C3, A4 v C4. The player who wins more individual holes wins the match, tied holes do not carry over. The match is over when one player has won more holes than holes remaining. Scoring: win 3, tie 1.5, loss 0. Max. 15 Points to a single team.
10 Holes Alternate Shot Doubles
Example: Players A3 & A4 v D3 & D4. Teammates alternate who tees off for each hole: A7 tees on the first, third and fifth holes etc. Alternate shot play for each hole. Strategic choice who begins the teeing sequence. Scoring: win 6 points, tie 3, loss 0. Max. 15 Points to a single team.
