Cash Payout
Welcome to the second annual Chester Frost doubles tournament! This year we've changed some things that we are excited about. We've simplified the tournament and boosted the purse. This year it will be a cash payout in person at the end of the tournament. Top 40% in each division will get paid. 90% of entry fees go to the purse, 10% go to pay for running the event, i.e., park reservation, event insurance, etc.
Here is an example payout structure.
Division Size: 18 teams
Top 40% Payout: Top 7 teams
Cash Payout Per Team:
1st - $300
2nd - $216
3rd - $169
4th - $139
5th - $118
6th - $102
7th - $90
The 3 divisions are based on skill and more specifically on the skill level of the best player on the team. Please play in the division that is fair for you to play in. No one likes sandbaggers. We reserve the right to move teams to different divisions if it becomes necessary.
Here is a breakdown of the different divisions.
MA3:
This division will be playing the vanilla Chester Frost course layout. Teams will be playing normal best shot doubles format for both rounds. Max single player rating = 899.
MA2:
This division will be playing a modified version of the Chester Frost course consisting of alternate tee pad locations and modified OB and Mando rules for several holes. Teams will be playing normal best shot doubles in round 1 and a modified best shot format for round 2. Max single player rating = 934
MA1:
This division will be playing a modified version of the Chester Frost course consisting of alternate tee pad locations and modified OB and Mando rules for several holes. Teams will be playing normal best shot doubles in round 1 and a modified best shot format for round 2. Max single player rating = No Cap
Modified Best Shot Format: This is the same as normal best shot doubles with the caveat that you can NOT take the same player's drive off the tee more than 2 holes in a row.
We plan to try to get food truck(s) to be on site and maybe a disc vendor. More info TBD.
