About this tournament
1 round of play
Start the season off right with a great warm-up for all the heavy hitting local events already on your calendar!
This event is a 1-day Bring Your Own Partner (BYOP) doubles event at The Oasis @ Boardman Park. The format will be Best Shot from the concrete tee pads throughout the park.
This event is meant to be the gateway for the newer players to get used to what a tournament feels like, but without all of the solo pressure! However, that's not to deter the long-time players from coming out and shooting a killer round with your friend as well!
The entry for each team is $20 and is broken up as follows:
- $16 to cash payouts ($8/player)
- $2 to Ace Fund ($1/player)
- $2 to club ($1/player)
Players are also given the opportunity to pay into an option CTP before the round starts ($2/player). There will be at least 2-3 CTPs across the course available for anyone who pays in. CTP holes and corresponding prizes will be posted within the week of the event taking place, but will most likely be discs, swag, and/or cash.
Payouts for the event will follow the same schema from last year: 40-50% of the field, depending of field size. Payment will be due when you check in for the event. [Please try to pay in 5’s and 10’s when possible, so payouts are easier please!!]
If you've never played a best shot doubles event before, I recommend doing some practice and research before this event!
[When choosing a division, choose the highest division that applies to better player of your team.]
This is only the beginning for the Casual Pros this season - Cody and I have mocked up a pretty lengthy list of events, so be on the look out for these on Disc Golf Scene or the NEODGA page on FaceBook over the next few months!
