About this tournament

The Black Widow Challenge
This is the first PDGA-sanctioned event at Black Widow Disc Golf course!

This 1-round, C-Tier Flex tournament will be played on Saturday, March 14 at The Black Widow Disc Golf course in Germanton, NC. You can choose your cardmates and tee time on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you've never played at Black Widow, be prepared for a challenge! This privately-owned course is a mix of heavily wooded holes, elevation changes, and plenty of wide-open shots too. There are multiple ace opportunities as well, so be sure to sign up for the ace pot!

This is a low-cost event with no player's packs or amateur payouts (Pro divisions paid out via PayPal). No trophies due to the flex setup. Come out and enjoy a round at Black Widow and you'll also have access to the Tiki Course and a free putting challenge with prizes, as well as the chance to win CTP prizes and have a shot at the ace pool!

CTP prizes include:
- 1 year of UDisc Pro
- Village Tavern gift cards
- Innova backpack, discs, and 2026 calendars
- Dyed discs

Players are also welcome to visit in the week prior to the event for a $5 practice round (50% off). Camping is also available for $20 per night (with free practice rounds) and there is also a $75/night cabin on the property. Contact Black Widow Disc Golf course on Facebook for more information. https://www.facebook.com/BlackWidowDiscGolfCourse/

There will also be a food vendor on site.

Directions and Other Information
- The course is located at 8888 Griggs Farm Rd, about 10 minutes away from Horizons Disc Golf Course and 10 minutes off of the US-74 Winston-Salem Beltway. Look for a yellow arrow at the entrance to the property.

- Cards are required to have at least 3 players. If your card does not have 3 players, you may be adjusted to the next available time that would allow for 3 players.

- Water and snacks will be available at tournament central.
- Hole 1 is a short walk from parking and tournament central.
- Be advised that while carts are possible on the course, there are some parts that are difficult to navigate with a cart.
- No motorized carts are allowed during sanctioned play.

CTP & Ace Pool

Refund policy

Ben Schoon is responsible for all refunds and cancellations. Withdrawals within 48 hours are only eligible for 50% refund.

PDGA guideline for refund states:

"Players who request withdrawal within 48 hours of the start of play, or who request withdrawal after the published close of registration and the published end of waitlist replacements, are not entitled to a refund. If a TD fills a player’s spot with a player on the waitlist at the time of withdrawal after the published close of registration and the published end of waitlist replacements, but more than 48 hours prior to the start of play, that player must receive a 100% monetary refund of their entry fee."
