About this tournament
$3,500 added cash
3 rounds of play
This information was updated on Wednesday April 8 at 10:00pm
After a great deal of consideration, it looks like we have no choice but to make another change this weekend. After watching weather forecasts for days, it looks like there is no avoiding rain and possibly thunderstorms on Sunday all day. I have been thinking all week "where is the work around"? I think I've found it.
For the pro weekend ONLY we are going to play 27 holes on Friday, and 27 holes on Saturday, eat some BBQ, followed by Cheba Hut's Presentation of the Z Boaz Skins Match. Everyone stays dry on Sunday!!
There will no doubt be some questions, let them fly. This looks like the best way to get everything in this weekend with the alternative looking like a lot less than that.
Add on to the update above at 3:06pm Thursday April 9
Here is the rest of the information on the plan for this weekend. Due to the fact we have no Idea how nice or mean Mother Nature is going to be to us tomorrow we will start tomorrow with a brief meeting at 8:30am followed by starting at 9 am with a shotgun start. If you are participating, you will then play the Short Tees on the permanent course weather permitting. We will take a brief lunch break and then you will play either the front or the back 9 from the long tee's weather permitting.
Saturday the start time will be determined tomorrow but will likely be the same as Friday. You will play the opposite nine as you did on Friday afternoon. We will take a short break and shuffle the cards. Then you will play the Mighty Z to complete your 54-hole event. This will all be followed by BBQ for all participants and the Cheba Hut Presenting the Z Boaz Skins Match.

About this tournament
To eliminate as much confusion as possible I am making one write up to use for both
weekends, so all info is in this one document.
$3,500 added cash minimum.
Short tee pads round 1, long tee pads in round 2 and round 3, and 3 rounds of play in every
division.
Being the 25th edition of this event we made the decision to split the weekends and run it
as a 3-day event.
After some consideration we decided that the 3-day event wasn’t the best idea for the am
weekend so it will be run with the standard approach of 2 rounds on Saturday and one
round on Sunday. This will take place on April 18-19, 2026. Round one 10am Saturday.
Round two TBD. Round 3 starts at 10AM Sunday Morning.
The pro weekend will take place on April 10-12, 2026, with a shotgun start for all rounds.
ALL 3 ROUNDS WILL START AT 10AM.
After even more consideration and discussion, we determined that maybe I am not as in
touch with things pertaining to local events as I thought and there likely is not enough
demand to justify 2 weekends and there obviously is not enough demand to need tee-times
or a cut on the pro weekend. Therefore, changes were made.
Based on all that information, we will stick with the split weekends, but we will change to a
shot gun start with no cut for the pro weekend. This will allow us to have the BBQ on
Saturday evening both weekends.
PRO weekend will run with a shotgun-start all 3 rounds and NO CUT. EVERYONE WILL PLAY
ALL 3 ROUNDS IN ALL DIVISIONS.
AM weekend will run in the standard format from years past, 2 rounds on Saturday and one
round on Sunday.
Winners in all divisions will receive a custom-made glass trophy courtesy of Mace Glass
Art. It will be a blown piece for all pro divisions, FA1, and MA1, and glass puck on puck
trophies for all other am divisions. All divisions must have 3 players to make the event, and
to justify a trophy. That means that if there are not 3 people in any division for any reason
those players will need to find a new division, and there will not be a trophy for that
division.
All players will receive a player’s package.
All advanced divisions will play for a standard PDGA merchandise pay out. All intermediate
and recreational division players will receive a merchandise voucher to shop for gear of
your choice.
All added money in the pro divisions will be split per capita throughout all pro divisions with
2 exceptions. First, there is one five-ounce bar of silver each for the winner in FPO and MPO
(Those Divisions ONLY). This will be added to the first-place payout in FPO and MPO on top
of the per capita split of the added cash. Second, some of the added cash is money for the
skins match. There will be at least $2000 in added cash split among all pro players.
Cheba Hut Presents the Z Boaz Skins Match. This will take place on Sunday April 12 as
soon after the round as possible. We will take the top 4 FPO players and the top 4 MPO
players and pair them up as follows: FPO 1st with MPO 4th, FPO 2nd with MPO 3rd, FPO 3rd
with MPO 2nd, and MPO 4th with MPO 1st. They will play mixed doubles in a modified
alternate shot format. In this format the MPO players tee off first on the odd numbered
holes and the FPO players tee first on the even numbered holes and the play is alternate
shot through all remaining shots on the hole for the team. If you’re not in on the push you
can pick up at any point and proceed to the next hole. All pushes include all teams on the
next hole. In the case of a push on the 9th hole, we start a round of sudden death. Starting
with the 10th hole you must be involved in the push to go on to the next hole. The first on the
tee format stays the same throughout the skins match regardless of how many holes it
takes to finish the match.
