About this tournament

The 2026 Boulder Ladies WGE
On May 23rd, Alessandra (Ali) Lance (Tournament Director), Kate VanOtterloo (Assistant TD), and the Boulder Ladies Disc Golf Club will be hosting a women's-only disc golf tournament, a PDGA Women's Global Event!
All registrants will play two rounds of disc golf at the Valmont Disc Golf Course (Boulder, CO), with an hour lunch break between the rounds.
After tournament play is over, there will be an awards ceremony, event fundraising raffle, etc ... more info to come!

WGE GLOBALLY
The 2026 Women's Global Event will take place May 15 - 25, 2026. Women from all around the world will play two rounds of disc golf at their local participating PDGA Women's Global Event. Scores from the first two rounds of each participating tournament will be submitted by the tournament director(s) and rated by the PDGA. These round ratings will be totaled and averaged to determine the player's "Global Score."

The PDGA has waived PDGA membership requirements and player fees for this event


WHY SHOULD I REGISTER FOR THIS EVENT?

The purpose of the WGE is to celebrate and promote women in disc golf by creating an inclusive and empowering experience that unites players worldwide. This ladies-only event is a perfect introduction to tournament-play and offers a unique opportunity to verify a player's "Global Score" / standing.
Registration for this event will give the player access to participating in disc golf clinics hosted by local female professionals leading up to the event ... more info to come!

VERB.DG., a new organization founded to support the growth of women in disc golf is generously providing tournament registration scholarships to ladies participating in their first tournament and could benefit from financial support. REGISTRATION FEES
Registration fees have been posted to DGS as of 2/1/26.
Pass Through Fees are $6.94/player and are calculated based on the course rental fee ($250) & the restroom rental fee ($250).
If you want to SPONSOR A PLAYER/cover their registration fees this option will be available via DGS, once registration has opened.
Community generosity will enable access to this event for women of all walks of life


DISC GOLF CLINICS
All 2026 Boulder Ladies WGE participants will have access to a few FREE DISC GOLF CLINICS, hosted by local professionals Sandra Richardson (PDGA #56987) and Erikah Weir (PDGA #68633). There will be 4 clinics total, including a primary clinic a few days before the WGE.
All details (dates, locations, clinic-topics, etc) will be announced on DGS and will be emailed to players as well
Clinic #1 = April 12th at 10am at Clark Centennial in Longmont - hosted by Erikah.
Clinic #2 = April 18th at 10am at CTP Disc Golf Park in Wheat Ridge - hosted by Sandra & Erikah.
Clinic #3 = April 26th at 11:30am in Franktown at a private course (location info was emailed on 4/24, directly to those signed up for this clinic) - hosted by Erikah.
PRIMARY CLINIC (#4) = May 21st at 6pm at Valmont in Boulder - hosted by Sandra & Erikah.

TOURNAMENT PLAY
All Professional & Amateur divisions will play 2 rounds; both rounds will be reported to the PDGA.
Junior divisions will play 2 rounds; only the first round will be reported to the PDGA.


THE GOODS - PAYOUTS & PRIZES
Pro Division winners accepting cash will be paid via PayPal within 48 hours of the end of the event.
Am Divisions will receive a players pack stuffed with excellent goodies and a tournament shirt. Trophies will be awarded to Am division winners.
All divisions will have CTP prizes to play for throughout the day as well as the opportunity to participate in pre-event activities (i.e. clinics) and post-tournament activities (i.e. an awards ceremony, a raffle, etc.)


ACE POOL
The ace pool will be split evenly with players if more than one ace is hit during tournament play. If no aces are hit during either round, the ace pool funds will be donated to the Boulder Ladies Disc Golf Club (BLDGC).


VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers are crucial for the success of this event! Volunteers are asked to commit to the entire day, including event set-up in the morning and course clean-up after the tournament and post-event activities have concluded. Volunteer participation is free and lunch will be provided.
Volunteer role examples: course spotters, parking lot attendants, course set-up/tear-down, etc.


SPONSORS & DONATIONS
18 hole-sponsorship spots are available; first come first serve. Sponsorship funds will go directly towards event expenses (players packs, course signage, etc).
Once your sponsorship has been submitted, please contact Alessandra (Ali) with your business logo so she can ensure your logo is displayed on your hole's tee sign (send email to: [email redacted]); sponsors will be able to keep their tee signs after the event has concluded.
Additional donations can be done through registration on this DGS event.

This event is being hosted by the Boulder Ladies Disc Golf Club (BLDGC). All administrative decisions, including tournament schedules, refunds, etc., are handled through the BLDGC
