Hole assignments are posted on the PDGA page (https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/45047). I made an effort to not mix tee pads within a group, so there are three ghost holes. If you see GH for your hole assignment, that means that you will be on a ghost hole which means that there will be two groups teeing off from the same hole. The group assigned to the hole will tee off first and complete the hole and then the ghost hole will tee off. GH1 = Hole 7. GH2 = Hole 13. GH3 = Hole 17. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hole assignments will be posted by 8pm this evening.

Every card has a CTP on hole 3. Whoever wins it please come to the tent during lunch to claim your prize. Acepot CTP on hole 1 will be used if no aces are hit.

Lastly holes 5 and 10 from the white tees will be able to tee off to the left of the teepad.

If you can't make it tomorrow please let me know tonight. Waiting till the morning makes it that much harder.

Baskets at Moraine will be moved for the Amateur Pittsburgh Flying Disc Open tomorrow afternoon. If playing be on the look out for an email and the player meeting video this week.

As a reminder because of the course change A pool (MA1 & MA2) will be playing 2 rounds Sunday and B pool (MA40, MA50, MA3, MA4, FA1, FA2, FA3 AND FJ15) will play 2 rounds Saturday.

Hello Everyone,

Due to Allegheny counties current limit on gatherings and the continuing surge of covid cases in our area we've decided to once again change the date for the 2020 Amateur Pittsburgh Flying Disc Open. New date is October 17th-18th using the same courses. This was our plan C dates when everything started and I REALLY didn't want to have to use them! This means The Hunt and Knobulus Maximus will not happen this year. A flex start event may take place at the end of October but more to come on that later.

If you can't make the new date or just simply would like a refund please submit a refund request through disc golf scene.

I'm not giving up yet on bringing the amateurs in the Pittsburgh area this premier event, however, if by Sept 1st it doesn't look like things are changing I will be cancelling the event.

2020 Amateur Pittsburgh Flying Disc Open will be played at Deer Lakes and Knob Hill as planned!

Just got word from Marshall twp that we have been given the OK to use the course. Some restrictions will require a change from the usual plans for this event. Marshall twp is requiring players sign a covid waiver. They want them before the event so be on the lookout for that email soon. For those who haven't responded to my previous email about the PDGA waiver I need to have a response ASAP.

Some of the event changes:

MA1 and MA2 will play 2 rounds shotgun start at Deer Lakes on Saturday and 1 round with tee times on Sunday at Knob Hill. Tee times will start at 9am with cards of 4 players going off every 15 minutes.

All other divisions will play Knob Hill on Saturday with tee times starting around 9am with cards of 4 players going off every 15 minutes and then 2 rounds shot gun start at Deer Lakes on Sunday.

Unfortunately this means no final nine and the usual player party isn't going to be possible this year. Also no awards ceremony means that this event will be trophy only. 1st place trophies will still be the Innova discatchers as promised. 2nd and 3rd place in all divisions will also receive trophies. With that being said the player packs will be revised. I'll be adding more items to them and will update everyone next week what will be in the new player packs.

Some good news is with the use of tee times for one of the days I've decided to add 8 spots to both A and B pool. The deer lakes rounds will have 2 ghost cards which will allow 80 players per pool. I have done this in the past for The Hunt and it went well.

All of this has meant a lot more work for me but I promise each and everyone of you the best AM PFDO experience possible.
