About this tournament

Greetings. We are really looking forward to the new summer date for our annual PDGA sanctioned event. We also welcome our new partnership with the Corn Festival, and we hope that it will allow us to bring you a bigger and better tournament. Since the town has waived all of the park rental fees for us for this entire weekend, it should allow us to give you even more value for your dollar, as well as enable us to raise additional money for our chose charity partner. Speaking of that.
We are happy to announce a partnership with Alzheimer's Society Windsor Essex (ASWE). ASWE will be working closely with WEDG to enhance the player experience, help us find sponsors and raise money for a good cause. All proceeds from the charity raffle will go towards ASWE.
CHARITY RAFFLE INFORMATION
We are now formally asking all tournament participants to bring something disc golf related to donate to our charity auction which will be held during the tournament. This is our primary means of raising money for our chosen charity, so please consider bringing both desirable disc golf items as well as cash to buy tickets in the charity raffle. Thank you! Last year at the Tecumseh Open, the first time we've raised money for a charity, we raised over $200 for Windsor Goodfellows. While that was good, we hope to smash that record in 2019!
This is an AMATEUR ONLY event. We have decided to focus on amateurs as the sport is young here in Essex County and we want to cater first to our local players. (Sorry Pros, we will eventually run events with Pro divisions, just not this one)

We have setup a partnership with MyDisc.ca who will be an onsite vendor. MyDisc.ca is an Ontario based disc sports store serving Canada. Our goal is to make it easy to get the disc you want at a good price.

Discraft will provide the discs for the event, along with their typically awesome event sponsorship package.
SUNDAY
