About this tournament
2 rounds of play
Welcome to the WNY Team Championships! We are bringing this event back for the 2025 season with a few twists. This event is 2 rounds in a team format all played in the College DG rules.
Round 1 will be played at Bond Lake. Round 2 will be played at Wilson Tuscarora.
College DG Rules: Team rounds are played with two sets of teammates, one ODD pair, one EVEN pair. The ODD set will tee off on every odd-numbered hole, while the EVEN set tees off on every even-numbered hole. After the tee shots, the team chooses which of the two lies to play. From there, the set that did not tee throws their two shots. Again, the whole team decides which lie to play from and the set that teed off would throw. That alternating process continues until the hole is complete. On the next hole, the corresponding set of teammates according to the hole number, ODD or EVEN, would tee off no matter which set putt out on the previous hole. This format allows for each player to tee off the same number of times and for teams to play as a whole. Each hole has two teams playing together as an eight-some.
- Teams consist of 4 players
- Gold Division - no rating cap
- Silver Division - team rating cap of 3600 (900 average rating)
- Team ratings are determined by the sum of each team members PDGA rating. An individual may exceed the rating cap of a specific division so long as the total team rating does not. For example, if John is 950 rated but John's team has a total rating of 3490 they may register for the Silver Division
- Any player without a rating will be given an assumed rating of 900, unless 5 recent rounds are provided to base a rating upon or to TD's discretion.
- All teams must compete in a “team jersey”. Team shirts should be the same color, and preferably the same style & design. Teams are responsible for providing their own team jerseys.
- Cash Payouts and Custom Trophies for both divisions
*Ladies will have tee advantages
