About this tournament
Hawke's Bay Disc Golf Club are beyond excited to bring you the inaugural Hawke's Bay stop on the NZ Disc Golf Tour, at the spectacular Te Pohue Disc Golf Park!
This Permanent Course, designed in 2022 by the experienced Disc Shop course team, is located on SH5 just 45 minutes from Napier, or an hour and 20 minutes from Taupo. It is set amongst the stunning rural backdrop on the groomed fairways of the Te Pohue Golf Club.
This course will take your breath away, with plenty to delight and challenge golfers of all levels. The unique location makes use of the natural elevation to give golfers the sense that they are really throwing off the edge of the world. In order to score well, you will need to be able to shape shots, hit gaps, clear water hazards, stay in bounds and manage the many elevation changes. Situated on pumice soil and with natural slopes the course plays dry even in the middle of winter!
With a fantastic hole 19 and true kiwi hospitality from the friendly locals, we here at Hawke’s Bay Disc Golf Club know that once you’ve played here you will be buzzing to get back to play what is quite possibly one of the Best courses in Aotearoa! With 3 different layouts providing 44 different tees for your enjoyment and challenge, there is so much variation to keep you coming back again and again.
Basic Camping will be available on site, with multiple accommodation options available in Bayview, 30 minutes away or Napier.
This PDGA C Tier tournament is a NZ Disc Golf Tour 50 pointer. Competitors will be challenged through three rounds over two days.
Divisions offered are:
MPO, MP40 and MA1 (Group 1)
FPO, MA1, FA1, MA40, MA2, FA2 (Group 2)
J18, MA3, FA3 (Group 3)

Refund policy
REFUND POLICY
100% refund (excluding transaction and DG Scene fees) will be issued for anyone pulling out before 8pm on Friday 29th of September2023.
50% refund (excluding transaction and DG Scene fees) will be issued for anyone pulling out before 8pm on Friday 6th October
Any withdrawals after 8:01pm Wednesday 11th October will not be eligible for any refund.
Players may transfer their entry to another person if there is no one on the waitlist.
Waitlist players which do not gain entry to the event will receive their full refund, less dgscene and paypal fees.
All optional "ADD ONS" are non refundable (excluding lunch & Ace Kitty).
All Refunds will be processed post event.
