About this tournament
Rusty Ratings is back!!
Kshhhhhhh, can you hear that?
It’s the Rusty Springs flowing in April! Anyone seeking to shake off their winter rust could use a soak in the warm spring weather, or in the hot natural springs.
Shake off that rust at the Rusty Springs at New Sinclair Creek course in Radium Hot Springs.
The Rusty Springs event will be the debut event for the Sinclair Creek course in Radium, BC.
There is still a lot of work to be done on the course, so if you are able to help, email [email redacted] to find out how you can help.
Rusty Ratings Schedule:
April 13: Rusty Ratings I | Rusty Scholar
April 20: Rusty Ratings II | Rusty Springs
April 27-28: Rusty Ratings III | Rocket Bear
May 4-5: Rusty Ratings IV | Rusty Nugget
How does it work?
The CVDGA, with the help of local clubs, are hosting a point series over the span of 4 weekends in the early spring. The series was created as a way to get some PDGA rated rounds early in the season while easing players into competitive disc golf. The series consists of three low-cost tournaments, and the Rocket Bear, one of Western Canada’s fastest-growing events, is now a B-tier event!
New for this year:
Rusty Springs is taking the place of the Rusty Raven, to help establish and promote the course in Radium.
Rusty Nugget will be a two-day event at the Golden Disc Golf Course and Up the Creek.
$5 of each registration goes towards your division series total, with the winner taking home the pot for all 5 tournaments.
REGISTRATION CLOSES AT 10:00pm the night before each event
Players Meeting starts at 8:40am at the Sinclair Creek Parking lot.
First-round starts at 9:10am
The second round starts at 1:45pm
Prizes and Payouts:
Tournament-specific payouts stay within each pool!
Pros: Spilt amongst the top 40%
Amateurs: Each player will take a prize from the prize table with an average prize value of over $20 per person.
Pass-Through Fees:
$2 PDGA
$2 TD/Admin
$3 Greens/CVDGA Fee
$5 Series Fee
Total: $16
Players will pick prizes in order of where they finished. All of the 1st place finishers will choose their prize simultaneously, and the second-place finishers won't be far behind. So don’t delay if you find something good!
