Small City Disc Golf is known for their unique events, and this may be the first time you've ever heard of this one.
In partnership with the People for Palmer Park!
A Doubles Ace Race!
(bring your own partner)
Teams of 2 will each throw 2 shots at each hole of the Junior course. Going around 3 times. For a total of 27 holes, 54 shots each, 108 shots per team!
Maybe even more if we can set up a 1-3 temp holes.
Maybe even progressively shorter tee pads for later rounds to increase the chance of great things happening!
Winning teams will be determined by total Aces.
Tiebreakers by Total Metal hits (cage and above).
Divisions:
- MPO: Open to anyone
- FA1: Open to all Ladies (Am or Pro)
- MA1: Open to anyone who doesn't usually play Pro
- MA3: Both team members must by <900 rated
Players may sign up for multiple teams, if competing in different divisions, but must complete the event in full separately, and still complete all rounds within the allotted time.
Registration & Check-In: East of the parking lot near Hole 1
Flex Start from 9am - 11:30am. Must have at least 2 teams go out together.
Payouts will be determined by division, and maybe a modest trophy as well.
See the pictures for payout chart. A $2 donation to the PfPP will be removed from the purse.
The winning FA, MA1, and MA3 teams will also be awarded berths to the 30th Annual Michigan Amateur State Championship in Ludington over Labor Day weekend.
- If either winning player declines the berth it will drop down the next team, 1st to the player with the most aces.
A 7th berth will be awarded to the individual player with the most number of aces not already winning a berth.
No added cash. No player packs. All payouts in Cash (PayPal).
Pre-Registration is encouraged so we have an idea of turn-out.
Cashless is OK, just note in the comments your Name, Division, and PDGA# if you have it to link on DGS and of course your awesome Team Name!
