About this tournament

Welcome to Gateway Winter Wizards 2022 - Hosted by the Summit Disc Golf Association.
Grab a partner and bring the magic for this spellbinding tournament. This will be a “Bring Your Own Partner” (BYOP) event with two divisions. We'll be using the short tee pads for both rounds. We'll be playing a 21 hole layout, using the course setup from the 2022 Frozen Fingers at Wingfoot.
Players must ONLY use the Gateway Wizard putters provided in the Players Pack for every throw in both rounds. Each division will play 2 rounds, and the winning teams will receive a specially designed trophy disc.
ALL players receive an enormous Players Pack (over $70 retail value) from Gateway Discs consisting of the following:
1) Two custom-stamped Wizard putters (Swirl SSS, Black SS)
2) Embroidered Gateway beanie
3) Wizard towel
4) Two Gateway Wizard minis
5) Winter Wizard holographic sticker
6) Wizard pin
7) Wizard velcro patch
8) 20% coupon off future Gateway purchases
9) 20% coupon off a purchase at Play It Again Sports - Cuyahoga Falls
In addition to the Player’s Pack, we’ll have a few CTPs available for each division throughout the day. Pure your shot and get a chance to win free discs and other merchandise from our sponsors.
Any player that hits an ACE will receive a $40 gift card for Play it Again Sports in Cuyahoga Falls.
Divisions
Players must register as teams. $80 per team ($40 per player). Each player receives a Player Pack.
Thanks to Gateways Disc Sports and Play It Again Sports in Cuyahoga Falls, we’ll be rewarding teams with prize payouts for their efforts in the tournaments. The payout structure listed below is based on current divisional percentages. The final payout structure will be determined based on the final divisional structure. Prize discs consist of a variety of Gateway Discs line-up and assorted new discs from Play It Again Sports in Cuyahoga Falls. Prize discs are per person (each person on the team receives the prize listed).
Serious - Both Rounds, Best Shot

2nd - 1 disc
3rd - 1 disc
4th - 1 disc
Casual - Both Rounds, Best Shot

The only tiebreakers will be for 1st place and will be decided by CTP on hole #9 (short tee). All other ties will be broken as follows:
- Most Aces
- Most Birdies
- Least Bogeys (includes double, triple, etc.) bogeys
If this method doesn't separate teams from ties, a disc will be flipped (heads/tails).

Summit DGA is responsible for all refunds/cancellations. Transaction fees are non-refundable.
No refunds/cancellations after close of online registration (3/16/22). Any paid registrant who does not play on the event day, for any reason, will still receive their Players Pack.
