About this tournament
1 round of play
Stump Grinder I and II events are being held in Richmond, Virginia at TrueTimber on Saturday, August 22 2026. These two events are being held on the same day at the same location, but are completely different PDGA events, and have their own separate entry fee. Please play both events; There is a discounted option to sign up for both events from this event's sign up page. These are fundraiser and trophy only events; any proceeds will go directly to the River City Disc Golf club to support future Youth Disc Golf initiatives and help grow the sport of disc golf in our local community. Specifically, we are using this tournament to help keep our "Junior Spring Series" free for all participants in future years.
Stump Grinder I (morning) will be a shotgun format teeing off 9am with a player’s meeting at 8:45 am. The layout will be 22 hole format that plays the majority of the red tees at True Timber along with some extra holes. Please see the “2026 Glitch Championship Qualifier” layout on Udisc for an overview of this layout. Please note that there may be some slight changes to this layout over the coming weeks, but that a finalized layout will be decided on in the week before the two tournaments. In the case of a tie, the playoff hole order will be Hole #1 white tee to short basket and then Hole #9 white tee to temp basket.
This layout is designed for all skill levels and is a great chance for new players to test out tournament play. The tournament structure purposefully has fewer divisions, making it a great “points grinder” for players attempting to qualify for major level tournaments in the future. All Amateur players should sign up for the Blue Division. Pros should sign up for the Gold Division.
Each player will receive a players pack with their entry fee (think - a disc from old club events plus a special on-theme surprise!). When signing up, please note in the comments if you are a female or youth player (18 or under). There will be CTPs and trophies for the Gold and Blue divisions, as well as additional trophies and CTPs specifically for female and youth competitors. There is a separate ace pot for each of the two tournaments. If there are no aces, the ace pot proceeds will go directly to the River City Disc Golf club to support future Youth Disc Golf initiatives and help grow the sport of disc golf in our local community.
Fees and Players Pack: $2 TD/Club Fee, $3 PDGA Fees, $3 Trophies, 5$ Greens Fees. Players Pack will exceed net entry fee. Players Pack TBD. This is for all divisions, including Pro/Gold. This is a trophy only event.
Sign up for both rounds using this event to get discounted entry for the 2nd round!
For those who are planning their disc golf schedule for the summer, the TrueTimber open is being held the weekend prior to this event (8/15, and 8/16). It will offer a much larger variety of divisions and more challenging layouts. This event should be posted on Disc Golf scene soon.
