The “Steady” Ed Safari is an event sponsored by Disc Golf Association (DGA), the company founded by the “Father of Disc Golf”- “Steady” Ed Headrick. Participants must be at least 13 years old and in good physical condition, as the safari holes that play inside, over and thru the Ausable Chasm, are extremely physically demanding! Be ready to throw off of 100 foot cliffs, over the river to baskets next to unique rock formations. Raft guides will ferry you across the river at multiple locations and kayakers will be on hand to rescue floating discs.

The players pack includes all 4 “Steady” Ed Signature Discs (Blowfly, Blowfly II, Blunt Gumbputt and Powerdrive Gumbputt), a custom tournament supercolor mini, and a 2 day admission to Ausable Chasm (combined value of over $75!!!).

The tournament features two rounds:
9am- 27 holes (9 at Campground DGC and 18 safari holes in Ausable Chasm), players must only use “Steady” Ed discs from players pack.
2:30pm-18 holes at Campground DGC with any PDGA approved discs.

$50 All Amateur Divisions. $60 Professionals.

NOTE: In the case of severe/dangerous weather or flash flooding in the Chasm, part or all of the tournament will be re-scheduled for Sunday 9-22-13.

Optional walk-thru of the safari holes on Friday (9-20-13) at 5:30pm. Meet at the Gatehouse parking lot on the south side of the Ausable Chasm Rt 9 bridge.
