About this tournament
1 round of play
St. Joeseph Valley Disc Golf Club presents the Singularity 2023
Pick your best/favorite disc. Bring it, your "A game" and a mini marker to Rum Village Park on May20th. Time to see how you and your favorite disc stack up against everyone else and their's.
This event is a singularity tournament: Every player will use the same (1) disc the entire day for every shot (including putts.) It is entirely at the player's discretion what disc they choose to use. Should a disc be lost, irretrievable or undesirable, a player may replace that disc with any disc of their choosing for a 2-stroke penalty. We will be playing 2 rounds at the beautiful Rum Village Disc Golf Course. The layouts are:
ROUND 1: Holes 1-10, 17-24, "dog park to white practice basket hole" (19 holes)Long basket on hole 2
ROUND 2: Holes 1, 2, 6, 7 to 8s long basket, 9-24, "short pad to white practice basket hole" (21 holes)Short basket on hole 2.
Changing pin locations between rounds on holes 1, 6, 8, 17 and 21
6 divisions: Pro, Women's Pro, Womens Amateur, Amateur & Recreational, and Women's Recreational.
Entry Fees are: $35 for Pro, $30 for Amateur & Recreational
Ace, Cash CTP included with entry. $2 for Ace fund, $3 to the cash CTP
Pro pool payouts will be cash; Amateur/Rec payouts will be vended by Fly High Disc Supply.
Tournament HQ is at the concrete pad near hole 1.
Day-of Registration/check-in at 830 AM until 910 AM, Players meeting at 910 AM, Round 1 starts at 930am
We will give roughly an hour break between rounds to give entrants a chance to go get lunch. There are many options within 10min of the park.
There will be side competitions (included with entry) for every division including a Long Drive and Accuracy Contest, players must use their singularity disc in these side games.
This tournament is partially a fundraiser for the 2023 King of the Courses in August.
More details to come as they emerge....
