We put flags out today for the tee boxes and baskets at Municipal Red. We're are using 13 baskets already in the ground. The other five won't be there till tournament day. You should be able to get a good idea from the flags. Tee signs are going up either Thursday or Friday. There is a description of the course in the overview on disc golf scene. We'll see if the layout can be added to Udisc.Everyone plays the regular tees at USA.

Thanks. Also I talked to Mac Givens from the USA club today and he hadn't heard about it. I would say maybe try getting in tough with Mac or Caroline Franklin about the hole 16 basket and anything else at USA.

You’ll play regular Municipal and Municipal Red. Juniors play the red tees. All of the holes at Municipal have red tees, where we’ll have red tees on holes 1, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12 and 16 on our Municipal Red layout. You’ll still play in the junior division. We’ve got a $50+ belt going to the winner.

Southside will never run a trophy only tournament. The only money we pull out of the players pack is the cost of the disc (around $10). So if you pay $40, $30 of your entry fee will be in the payout. Everything else is covered by sponsors and our fundraiser we had last week. We even cover the PDGA and Southern National fees ($5 per person), plus food and drinks. The belts usually cost over $1,000 and we cover that too.

Everyone but MPO, MP40, MP50 and MA1 will play over there. We use some of the land across from the bridge to add some length. It’s not close to the normal layout (a few of the regular holes are used). We did the same thing two years ago. The course will have flags for the tees and baskets a week or more before the tournament. Some of the baskets in the ground are used and we’ll bring in a number of portable baskets. It’s not the birdie fest the regular muni red is.
