Hello Disc Golfers,
Welcome to the Southern Minnesota Amateur Championship! Tournament Central will be at Pavillion #1 (the Big pavilion in the middle of the park).
I will send updated information regarding the tournament on:
The comment section on Discgolfscene:
https://www.discgolfscene.com/tournaments/Southern_Minnesota_Amateur_Championship_III_2022
Trees of Peace Disc Golf Facebook page:
https://www.facebook.com/treesofpeacediscgolf
I will do some random drawings tomorrow for people that follow my page. If you would like to follow please click on the Facebook link above. Thank you!
Here is a link for your starting tee:

Really really really really really important: All divisions play short tee for holes 7 & 8. The North end of the course has temp holes we will not play, these holes are in the works yet and have old Mach 3 baskets. We are playing the permanent 21 holes with Mach 7 baskets. Please follow the map.
Closest to the pin (CTP) will be hole 15 for the first round only. I do CTPs for every group/card. So when you get to the hole whoever is the closest in your group will win a prize. See me after the round to claim your prize. Once again, this is the 1st round only
Drawing: All players are entered into the drawing. That's it, no other way to get in. I want to make this fair for all entries. Prizes include discs and fun disc golf stuff, including a basket. There will be prizes drawn after the 2nd round and this will be live.
I attached a course map & informational scorecard for tomorrow. Scorecards have OB listed. Please let me know if you have any questions! If you can't make the event please let me know asap as this may change groups. Per PDGA rules there will be no refunds after groups are posted. :)
Friendly reminder that Trees of Peace Disc Golf is a family fun environment. I hope everyone has a good time and keeps it in the fairway.
Weather: Please read the PDGA rules for weather. This applies to all events as weather can be very unpredictable.

Schedule for the day:
Registration will start at 7:30 am. Merchandise will be for sale in the am. Player's packs are available at this time.
Registration closes at 9:30 am
9:30 Speedy player's meeting!!
9:35 Players can head out to their holes to prepare for tee time.
9:58 Two-minute warning
10:00 Tee time (shotgun start)
2 rounds of 21 holes, 1 hour lunch break from last card in after 1st round.
Lunch: I will not have food available for lunch at this event. My family is too busy this weekend. Plenty of places to eat in Austin. There is a Kwik Trip down the road, plus Subway, McDonalds, Burger King, Hardees, Qdoba, and Culvers are all pretty short distances. They can be busy for lunch so please be mindful of 1 hour from last card.
At approximately 5pm, depending on the weather and speed of play, we will do drawing, awards, and the ace pool throw-off if nobody hits an ace. If you finish in the top 50% you will win prize money. Please pick this up at the time of the event. I will have prizes there. I am not able to ship prizes.
I will not be posting scores on a scorepointe as this takes too much time after the round. I want to respect the people that traveled to the event and give them as much time to travel home. Please ask or use your phone to see if you have placed. I will need time to figure out ties and scoring issues after the round so please be patient as I work to get everything ready :)
Payout out will be 50% of the field.
Regards,
Jason
