Welcome to the 2025 Sky High Showdown Presented by INNOVA Disc Golf. This is the 27th year of The Showdown. We have much to be thankful for as the Bridge Wildfire burned through Mountain High in October 2024. It's a miracle there wasn't more damage as the staff and firefighters worked to keep The Resort from burning down. There was some minor damage to the course, but it's in good shape.

As we’ve said before, this course is NOT cart-friendly. Hauling a cart up and down the mountain will wear you out in no time. You'll be looking to take a nap after 9 holes. Gaiters are recommended to keep the foxtails, rocks, and dirt out of your shoes.

This is a PDGA 'B' tier event and current PDGA membership is required. If you are not a PDGA member, you can join here <https://www.pdga.com/membership>. Memberships start at $50 for Amateurs and $30 for Juniors through the end of 2025.

Lunch will NOT be included as part of the registration this year and can be purchased for $17 when you register online and includes; a meat or Beyond burger, chips, and a fountain drink. It will be $19 the days of the event.

Idio Sports will have their Syncrasy shoes available to try out. There will be a raffle on Saturday around 6:00pm after the Pro round with a DISCatcher EZ Portable Target, Excursion backpacks, apparel, and lots 'o discs.

Pass Through Fees;
Green Fees = $19 a day x 2 days = $38
SoCal Disc Golf Series = $2
PDGA Fees = $4
TD Fee = $3

All divisions will play one round of 27 holes each day. Ams will lead-off with check-in at 7:30 am Saturday, August 23rd. Players meeting at 8:15 am, shotgun start at 8:30 am. Check-in at 12:30 pm on Sunday, August 24th, shotgun start at 1:00 pm, awards start around 5:30-6:00 pm depending on when the last card comes in.

Pro’s will play in the second (2nd) flight on Saturday, August 23rd. Check-in starts at 12:00 pm, players meeting at 12:45 pm, shotgun start at 1:00 pm. Check-in on Sunday, August 24th is 8:00 am, shotgun start at 8:30 am. There’s an extra $1k for the Pro field.

This is a PDGA-sanctioned event. Please refer to the Rules posted here <https://www.pdga.com/rules/official-rules-disc-golf>. Scoring will done thru the PDGA Live app, NOT the browser. If you have to open your browser to get PDGA Live, you do not have the app. Make sure you have it downloaded <https://www.pdga.com/pdga-live-app>, installed and configured the app. The WiFi up there is not the best to be downloading an app. If you use the browser, you will have a hard time maintaining a connection. I’ll have the code when you check-in.

As per PDGA, EVERYONE HAS to score with PDGALive. If you loose the connection, don’t worry it will get caught up when it gets connected. There are several spots where you can get a connection around the lodge. We can provide a paper scorecard. Be sure to review your round before you click the Submit button at the end of your round. Make sure to login on Sunday to know where your tee is.

Make sure you have signed the event-specific Liability Release when you check-in, even if you signed one for a season pass. We will have copies to fill out at check-in. You cannot play if you do not sign the Release.

If you’re camping at Table Mountain, check-in at the North Lodge. Make sure to reserve a camping site early. Go to <https://www.recreation.gov/camping/campgrounds/233735> to make a reservation. Wood is available at the Lodge. Don’t bring wood, they have plenty after the Forest Service cut a lot of smaller trees.

Litter... DON’T. If you pack it in, you pack it out. Real simple! There is NO SMOKING on the course. Smoking is only permitted in the parking lot.

Thunderstorms - If we see lighting or hear thunder, we will blow the horn 3x. Mark your disc where it lies and return to your cars or the Lodge.

There will be a donation jar for St. Vincent dePaul of the Pines, our favorite charity. Please leave $5 for them. There will be a donation jar for EDGE as well.

Make sure you carry enough water to stay hydrated. Wear shoes that can handle rocks, sandy hillsides, and all sorts of other brush. Take your time, don’t push yourself too hard. Try to get acclimated to the altitude ASAP. Above all, have FUN!
