4 days with only 2 rounds? Yup. This is a big weekend with lots to do, so round one is a flex start that revolves around your schedule. Round one can be played on either Thursday, Friday or Saturday. Just like any other tournament you only have one shot at round one. No starting over and no re-dos. Each card must have at least 2 players and both must be registered for the tournament. If you cannot coordinate a workable time with another player please reach out to Jeremy Reed at 907-314-2257, we'll work something out. If you choose to throw your flex round before the gates open at noon, don't park in the rear parking lot, they'll shot the gate on you.
Round two is Shotgun start for all divisions. Tee time for round two is Sunday at 11am, check in is between 10:00-10:30am, and the $10 gate fee in covered with your registration. The tournament should wrap up by 3pm on Sunday with mini games to follow.
The payout structure this year is merch for all divisions, although the divisions will still be listed as pro. That way, the pros will get a trophy that says pro, it's a thing we're doing. Every division will get a custom trophy and there are a million divisions to choose from. If there is only one player in any given division, that player will have to choose where else to slide in. Every division will get a crack at the prizes, and we will be throwing in more prizes this year that ever. Nobody's going home empty handed. The proceeds from this event will go to the brand new Jr Disc Golf Showdown, as well as future community events and tournaments. Gate fees to the fair on Thursday, Friday and Saturday are not included with tournament registration, Southeast Alaska State Fair daily ticket prices and schedule can be found at seakfair.org.
