About this tournament
1 round of play
The Quail Canyon Ball & Chain Open is a hybrid ball and disc golf tournament, with players shooting one 18-hole round of ball golf followed by an 18-hole round of disc golf and competing on gross score of both rounds. There will be one open division for all players, plus a women's division if there are three or more women.
Players must preregister by Sept. 30 at www.discgolfscene.com, or contact TD Dave Wichner at [email redacted] to arrange offline registration. Check-in is from 6:30 to 7 a.m. with a shotgun start to the ball-golf round at about 7:15. A half-hour lunch break will begin when the last card of the first round is turned in, with lunch (sub sandwich, chips and drink) available for $3.
NOTE: This tourney is unsanctioned, but rules of the US Golf Association (ball golf) and the Professional Disc Golf Assn. will apply, except that, for speed of play we will observe with a modified lost ball/disc rule (1 stroke penalty and drop from last seen spot) instead of reteeing (stroke and distance).
