One round per day with tee times. MPO will play Lions/Lair/Lions, All others will play Lair/Lions/Lair. MPO plays long tees on both courses. Mp40 and MP50 play longs on Lair and Yellows on Lions. FP and MP60 divisions play shorts on Lair (7 holes) and Yellows on Lions except short tee on 7, short basket on 8 and short tee on 12. Subject to change.

Entries include $45 greens fee, $1 ODDS fee, and $5 PDGA fee.

Thanks for registering for the 2025 Lake Marshall Open. Tee times are posted on the PDGA Event page. Changes will be made for absolute emergencies only. Saturday and Sunday tee times will be posted as soon as practicable following daily rounds. Divisional blocks will remain close to the same.

Food
Chef BoyZardee will be on site Friday and Saturday with a menu including Hot dogs, Brats , Lamb Gyro , Tacos (Steak, Blackened Shrimp) , .75 wings, Breakfast Sandwiches (bacon egg and cheese ), Drinks, Chips.


Travel:
Lair- 3409 Neenah Rd, Montross, VA

Lions- 22111 Kings Highway (Red Oak Nursery), Montross, VA- veer slightly to right about 200 feet from the entry (don't go left!), continue straight through property to course. PLEASE DRIVE SLOWLY. It is a long ways through the farm- be patient.

The road through Lions will be closed during play each day. If you must drive from one course to the other you will have to go around. If you are camped by the lake you will want to get your vehicle out before play begins for the day on Sunday or you will need to wait.

Lions to Lair: left out of Red Oak Nursery, left on Nomini Grove Rd, left on 600 (Neenah Rd), left into 3409 Neenah Rd.

Lair to Lions: right out of driveway, right on Nomini Grove Rd, right on Rt 3, right into Red Oak Nursery, immediate veer slight right, continue straight through property.



Event Logistics:
You must check in at your appropriate course 15 minutes prior to your tee time each day. Since we will not have a starter at Hole 1 we will not be adhering to the (silly) 5 minute policy. Be there 2 minutes before and start when the time comes.

All players must keep score for the entire group. PDGA Live is the preferred method. Login code is “lake”. Paper cards will be available for those unable to use PDGA Live like a 21st century human. Paper cards must be turned in at the end of the round.



Course Stuff:
Course ground rules are attached to this email as well as in PDGA Live. The lake is always OB. If there are stakes present the line is the stakes. if no stakes the line is the water line. Most significant change is the OB left on 15 Lions has been moved to the bottom of the hill.

Friday- Lions Blue

Saturday- Lair Long

Sunday- Lions Blue


MP40/MP50:

Friday- Lair Long

Saturday- Lions Yellow

Sunday- Lair Long


MP60/FP

Friday- Lair Short (holes 7,9,11,14,15,16,18)

Saturday- Lions Yellow Modified (holes 7,8,12 shorter)

Sunday- Lair Short



If playoffs are required they will be sudden death on the following holes:

Lair 1,2,3,18 (loop if need be)

Lions 10, 11, 18 (loop if need be)


If you are unable to complete the event for one reason or another please notify me by text to 540-661-6685 that you will not be there. Drops without notification will receive the dreaded “888” for the round which will result in a ratings penalty. I also will remember it forever.
