Aloha! Prodigy Discs and Gargoyle's Garden are proud to present The Gargoyle's Garden Open. The Cook Boys and Mike Leitch have also sponsored the event by providing the added cash to the pro purse. We want want to make things happen for Big Island disc golf, so come help us grow the sport!
The event will be held on 2/29/20. Yes, on leap day! This is a PDGA Sanctioned C-tier event. There will be at least $1000 added to the Pro divisions and $200 to the Am divisions. All am's will receive a Prodigy Disc players pack as well, those details will be determined in the coming weeks. Tournament t-shirts will be available for $20 each at the event.
The tournament format will be 2 rounds of 18 holes each. All divisions except FA2 will play the White (Pro) tees both rounds. FA2 will play the Red tees both rounds. Any non-current pdga members will have have the $10 pdga fee added to their registration if they are not a current member before the event
Friday night there will be a BBQ at the course provided by Gargoyle's Gardens and the course will also be open to practice through the day. Sunday there will be an optional random draw doubles tournament also run by Gargoyle's Gardens. For information about practicing on Friday and/or playing the doubles event on Sunday, please contact Mike Leitch directly @ 808-238-2564. There will also be LIMITED camping spots available on-site through the weekend. Please also contact Mike Leitch if you are interested in camping.
For the event on Saturday, please plan on bringing your own lunch/drinks. There will likely not be enough time to make a run to the store in between rounds. As well, parking may be tight and difficult to leave between rounds.
Directions to course - From Hilo take Highway 11, right on N Kulani Road, Left on Ana Road (approx 1/4 mile), right on Lauko Road (proceed past pavement up hill approx 1/4mile, enter gate and the golf course on will be on the left.
