About this tournament
1 round of play
The 2017 Provincial Doubles is a one day, 36-hole tournament at Tamara Ranch just south of Red Deer, Alberta. This is the final event of the 2017 Alberta Disc Golf Tour. Free on site camping is available for September 29 and 30 nights. The course will be open all day September 29 and selected (and TBD) dates in September for practice.
Tamara Ranch is a working ranch with everything you would expect on a ranch in Alberta... plus an 18-hole disc golf course. The Ranch is a unique course in Alberta. It is long and it is difficult and it is on a ranch. It is rustic and raw. The course has been tested and modified over the past two years and we hope you enjoy playing on it. There will be parts that are groomed and trimmed and other parts that are rough.
It is important to note that we will be playing on the livelihood of the hosts and so: there is absolutely NO SMOKING on the course (there will be designated areas for smoking between and during rounds). This is for both the health of the land and for safety. We cannot risk a fire. Additionally, There is absolutely NO LITTERING. There will be garbages at the tee boxes. Use these or carry out what you bring in. There will be no leniency here.
Please note:
- we have limited the numbers for the different divisions and will adjust this if necessary but ideally, we would like to have only Open, Masters, Advanced, Novice (Men and Women together), and Mixed Divisions. If you think you would like to enter a different division let us know and if there is enough interest, we can add it (as long as we stay below 45 total teams and 5 teams per division).
- both players must qualify for the division they are entering.
