WELCOME TO THE BIRDIE DERBY!

Come one, come all! You are invited to a casual round of disc golf at Gordon Holton Memorial Disc Golf Course! Show up, pick out your discs, and play for only $35. The Birdie Derby is the perfect event for anyone and everyone curious about the game of disc golf. Take on the course with just your players pack and see who comes out on top!

1-ROUND SHOTGUN 10 A.M. Start

This will be a shotgun start, where players are assigned a starting hole and play the course from there. Cards will be spaced out on start to help avoid potential backups on the course. You are welcome to sign up with friends, just be sure to reach out and let me know you want on the same card. Please feel free to come a little early to pick out your discs, you’re welcome to warm up with them before round start. An average round can take up to 3 hours to play.

PLAYERS PACK

As part of your sign up, you get three discs exclusive to the Prodigy Birdie Derby. This year the artists were not playing games with the stamps. Three unique and aptly selected characters are stamped on the discs in a variety of color, some matte some metallic all stunning. Prodigy also isn’t pulling any punches when it comes to plastics. The 300 soft fractal has great hand feel with wild bursts of color. The 400 ultra soft is exactly that, SOFT but with integrity. The 400 glimmer is the same great 400 but with a pinch of jazz sprinkled into the plastic.

Meet your teammates:

• Sir Aldric Egghelm is honored to serve you inside and outside the circle on the Prodigy PA-4, a slightly understable putter. It’s designed for all players and skill levels and will turn up when thrown hard, giving it impressive glide, and a gentle turning finish. When putting, the PA-4 is dead straight, so you can point and shoot at the target when hunting your birdies.

• You can depend on Vaeloria Thornbow to get you as close to the basket as possible on any shot on the Prodigy MX-3 Midrange Driver. This slightly overstable, beaded midrange is engineered for high-level controllability and performance, boasting tremendous glide and a reliable finish. This disc also comes in 400 Ultra Soft plastic, so you can depend on this disc to stick and stay when it lands near the basket.

• The Behemoth is ready to soar as far as he can for any player on the Prodigy FX-4, a stable fairway driver. The FX-4 is an excellent first stable fairway driver for any player, with a reliable finish for any arm speed while boasting excellent glide. This disc will catch any eye in 400 Glimmer Plastic.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

As a thank you to all players who sign up you will also get an additional disc supplied by Prodigy Discs. These are some of their other popular molds showcasing some of the strides they have made in plastic blends, including reblend plastics!

Players will have an opportunity to win a BP2v3 backpack as well (space for 25 discs, two big water bottles and pockets for days)! There will also be CTP prizes for everyone who signs up.

This is a non-sanctioned round, so there’s no pressure. Enjoy a casual round of disc golf with your family and friends or meet someone new!
