About this tournament
4 rounds of play
This is a four-round, one-day tournament playing each of the four layouts at Oregon Park. The morning begins with the two longer layouts of Gold-to-Gold and Silver-to-Gold played back to back without a break. There will be a lunch break after the first two rounds. The afternoon rounds will play the shorter layouts of Gold-to-Silver and Silver-to-Silver back to back. This is a demanding tournament for most players as the event runs from dawn to dusk. To play your best you will want to condition yourself to multiple rounds before the tournament and ensure your physical fitness is at a level to carry you through the entire day.
Please review the rules regarding Pace of Play (https://www.pdga.com/rules/competition-manual/302) and Player Misconduct (https://www.pdga.com/rules/competition-manual/303) before the tournament.
All players will receive lunch with their entry fee. For our amateur players this is a PDGA True Amateur Event.
From the PDGA website....
“True Amateur” is the designation used by the Professional Disc Golf Association in reference to those amateur events, or the amateur portion of an event, which promote that true spirit of amateur athletics by presenting only trophies to the top finishers of the tournament rather than a payout in merchandise. Instead, all players in the event receive equal value through their tournament experience due to the tournament amenities that are provided.
