Important Parents, please be aware of the following rules that will be in effect:

Rules for junior players at PDGA tournaments:

A. Parents/guardians must be responsible for their children during PDGA-sanctioned events. Neither the PDGA staff nor the event staff are responsible for the children of tournament players, spectators, etc. during events. Parents/guardians may not leave unaccompanied children at or near the scoring area, clubhouse, or any other tournament venue.Any child younger than 13 years of age who is accompanying any player group and is not a caddie must be supervised by an adult who is not part of that player group and not a caddie.

B. Players in the MJ3, FJ3, MJ4, FJ4, MJ5, FJ5, MJ6, and FJ6 Junior ≤12, Junior ≤10, Junior ≤08, Junior ≤06 divisions must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during tournament rounds. Additionally, any player younger than 13 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian regardless of the division they play in. A single parent or guardian may be responsible for multiple junior players in the same group if agreed upon by all of the parents/guardians prior to the start of the round. Players in the MJ1, FJ1, MJ2, and FJ2 Junior ≤18 and Junior ≤15 divisions may be accompanied by a parent or guardian during tournament rounds.

C. During PDGA-sanctioned tournament rounds, parents/guardians accompanying junior division players:
MAY assume the roles of a caddie; assist junior players with disc selection, throw selection, rule interpretations, or scorekeeping.
MAY NOT make or second rulings such as foot faults, courtesy violations, etc.
MUST encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all junior players in the group.
MUST place the emotional and physical well-being of all junior players in the group above the personal desire to win.
MUST refrain from the use of abusive or profane language.
MUST refrain from using drugs, alcohol, or tobacco.

D. Failure to adhere to the parent/guardian responsibilities may result in the disqualification of the junior player or removal of the parent/guardian, and their accompanying junior player, from the event site by the tournament director.

E. The PDGA highly recommends that Tournament Directors create their tournament schedules to ensure that all players in the two youngest age groups Junior 08 and Junior 06 be scheduled to play no more than 18 holes in one day. Additionally, TDs should use their discretion to possibly limit the amount of daily play concerning the Junior ≤10 divisions (age 10 and younger) depending on the length and strenuousness of their course.

Thank you all for playing and attending the North Landing Junior Championship. We here at North Landing DGC hope it was a fun day for everyone involved.

Congrats to all our winners. There was some really good disc golf going on out there. These kids will be pushing the boundaries of the sport in a few years.

We want to thank all of our sponsors: Superior Athlete, Out of the Grey Wellness, Dr. Rock, Puttz Club, North Landing Disc Golf Club, Lucky Disc Golf, Trainhopper Disc Golf, Juanaconda Brazilian Jui-Jitsu, Music City Disc Golf, John Ferguson of A&R Inspection group, Glenn Davis, Cody Smith, Flyin Colors Disc Golf (Check out their cool dyes), Prodigy Disc, Cheengz, Prestige Roofing, Retaining Walls of Atlanta, Alabama Juniors Championship, and Jordan Kass, who helped supplement all the prizes and the players packs. There was over $60 of value in the players packs, and over $300 worth of CTP and putting contest prizes. We couldn't have done it without them.

Tentative schedule:

10 and under players will play one round. 11-18yr old players will play two rounds.

Check in begins at 7:45am.

10 yrs and under players start at 9am.

There will be a break station with snacks and a bathroom at hole 9. Cards can take a 15-20 minute break here if they need one.

The 11-18 year olds who want to participate will begin the putting challenge at 9:15am.

11-18 year olds start after the last group of under 10's has left the break station. We estimate this to be around 10:30am

Upon finishing their round 10 yrs and under can participate in the putting challenge.

10 and under awards will happen after putting challenge.

11-18 yr olds will take their hour lunch after the last card is in for their first round. Second round begins at the end of that hour.

Awards for 11-18 will be done directly after scores are verified for their 2nd round. We estimate this to be around 3:45-4PM.
