This year is difficult for the SoIL Showdown. I love this event, but I've honestly been having so much fun doing the Blackhawk Basket Bash, Pull of the Pathfinders, and Memorial Day Open that I overlooked that Illinois Amateur Championships are taking place in Peoria during this weekend. That said, this event is taking a backseat for the year. The entry is only $25, and we're paying out 100% value to 75% of the field as per usual. I will be 3D printing trophies as a donation to the event, so no dollars will be taken from the purse in order to preserve as much payout as possible for all of you.

This is also the first year that the SoIL showdown is a True Amateur event! Save for the $2 PDGA fee, $23 of your entry fees will go into your purse. I will personally be sponsoring water stations throughout the courses as well.

Lunch will be on your own, but both courses are going to be used and started independently to avoid everyone cooling down too much between rounds.

Pool B will play Rec 2x

It's hard to nab sponsors when you run so many events per year, so I'll be honest, I'm not trying to raise anything up from this one. If there's anything left over(there shouldn't be), it'll get donated to my students in the Centralia High School Marching Showcase.
