Hello Junior State Championships players and families,
Thank you for registering for the 2026 Michigan Junior Disc Golf State Championships Presented by the Michigan Disc Golf Organization & Disc Baron!We are excited to bring back the Michigan Junior State Championships after a few-year break. This will be this staff's 4th Junior State Championship, and we look forward to crowning another set of Michigan Junior State Champions.

Event HQ: Marsh Pavilion
Check-In:Check-in will be from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at Event HQ. Player meeting will be shortly following the end of check in.
Round 1.Player Packages:
Player package distribution will take place following Round 1 at Event HQ.
Disc Golf Bag Giveaways:
We will be giving away a disc golf bag following Round 1 and another disc golf bag and other items following Round 2.No purchase is required.
Round 1 On-Course Notes:
We will have a number of divisional and all-division prizes out on the course for Round 1.Please pay close attention to what is written on the tags so you know which prizes apply to your division or to all players.
Youth Safety and Parent/Guardian Responsibilities:
This event will strictly follow PDGA Competition Manual 1.13 Youth Safety.
Parents and guardians are responsible for their children during PDGA-sanctioned events. Neither PDGA staff nor event staff are responsible for the children of tournament players, spectators, or others during the event. Parents/guardians may not leave unaccompanied children at or near the scoring area, clubhouse, Event HQ, or any other tournament venue.Any child younger than 13 years of age who is accompanying a player group must be supervised by an adult who is not part of that player group and not acting as a caddie.Players in the Junior ≤12, Junior ≤10, Junior ≤08, and Junior ≤06 divisions must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during tournament rounds. Additionally, any player younger than 13 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian regardless of the division they are playing in.A single parent or guardian may be responsible for multiple junior players in the same group if agreed upon by all parents/guardians prior to the start of the round.Players in the Junior ≤18 and Junior ≤15 divisions may be accompanied by a parent or guardian during tournament rounds.
During PDGA-sanctioned tournament rounds, parents/guardians accompanying junior division players:
MAY:Assume the role of a caddie.Assist junior players with disc selection, throw selection, rule interpretations, or scorekeeping.
MAY NOT:Make or second rulings such as foot faults, courtesy violations, etc.Parents/guardians also
MUST:Encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all junior players in the group.Place the emotional and physical well-being of all junior players in the group above the personal desire to win.Refrain from the use of abusive or profane language.Refrain from using drugs, alcohol, or tobacco.Failure to follow the parent/guardian responsibilities outlined in PDGA Competition Manual 1.13 may result in the disqualification of the junior player or the removal of the offending player, caddie, or guardian.Junior players under 13 years of age whose guardian has been removed may continue to play only if a substitute guardian volunteers to take their place with the consent of the removed guardian.
