The first annual Memramcook Doubles fundraiser will be an unsanctioned tournament using only the PDGA ratings for divisions limitations. There will be 5 divisions as follows:
Cash Payout Divisions ($10 to Memramcook DGC, $10 lunch, $30 to payouts top 40%)
The Mixed Open - no PDGA rating limit
Mixed AM1 <935 PDGA rating each player
Merchandise Payout Divisions ($10 to Memramcook DGC, $10 lunch, $20 to merch out to top 3 (division 10+ teams top 3, division 6-9 teams top 2, division <6 teams 1st place only)
Mixed AM2 850-900 PDGA rating each teammate
Mixed AM3 800-849 PDGA rating each teammate
Mixed AM4 <800 PDGA rating each teammate
Division Clarifications:
All unrated players will be given an 800 PDGA rating and allowed to play in Mixed AM4. When choosing a partner to fit into a division rating, 1 partner on the team can be up to 25 ratings points higher than the division cap if the other partner is 25 points lower than the same division cap. Example: Partner 1 is 925 and partner 2 is 875. The total for the team is now 1800 which still allows the team to play in the Mixed AM2 division. Partner 1 is 25 PDGA ratings points above the Mixed AM2 divisions cap and partner 2 is 25 ratings points under. Current player ratings when signing up will be used instead of PDGA's monthly updated changes.
Round 1 will be played as 18-hole best shot for all divisions.
Round 2 the Mixed Open, Mixed AM1, Mixed AM2 divisions will play holes 1-9 combined score (both players play singles and add their scores together), and holes 10-18 alternate shot (one teammate tees off on even holes 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 and the other on odd holes 11, 13, 15, 17. After first player tees off, the second player throws next and so on. Example: Player 1 tees off on 10, player 2 shoots second, player 1 shoots third, player 2 shoots fourth, etc. These two formats allow for good scoring separation.
Round 2 the Mixed AM3 and Mixed AM4 will play 18-hole best shot again.
All scorecards will be done on UDisc so please download the app and start your free account. All players will need to be "checked in" on Friday July 31st so cards can be made in advance.
$5 optional ace pot per team and tickets for 50/50 draw will be available on site the day of the tournament.
Atlantic Disc Golf will be onsite all day and will be supplying all merchandise to the top doubles teams in each of the Mixed AM2, AM3 and AM4 divisions. Memramcook Disc Golf Club's tournament director, Rob Allen, will be paying out both of the cash divisions.
Lunch to be announced, division specific CTP/Longest Putt and raffle prizes to be announced!
