About this tournament
Meadowbrook Orchards Matchplay Bracket
There will be 3 brackets. Pro and Amateur will have a max of 32 and starting Women with 16, but can add more if there is interest
MatchPlay is a different way of playing where you battle your opponent hole by hole. If you get a better score on a hole then you get 1 point. If you get the same score then it's a push which mean no points are given. This repeats all 18 holes. Most points win!
Example: Hole 1 player A gets a 3 and player B gets a 4. Player A gets 1 point. Hole 2 both players gets a 3, so none gets a point and you move on to the next hole. If player A is winning by 4 points and there are 3 holes to play, then player A has won the match. At that point player B has no chance of winning. If there is a tie after 18, go to hole 1 and play sudden death until there is a winner.
First round matchups will be determined by PDGA rating. If you don’t have one, make a guess. Feel free to reach out to Disc Golf 978 with any questions.
All matches need to be played at Meadowbrook.
Play starts May 1st or when full. You have 2 weeks to complete your match. You can choose which layout you play, but the Championship will be on Blues with long hole 1. If you can’t decide between who you are facing, the layout will default to Reds.
Cost is $25 with everything going to payouts for pros and $15 for Ams. All Ams will get $10 Disc Golf 978 store credit as a player’s pack! Ams will be paid in Disc Golf 978 store credit.
